i understand the whole unique aspect but at the end of the day its a boatload of wasted time only to go backward decades in technology.
My guess would be that it's just soft mounted for a shoot.
Sorry...not my guess, my hope. |
I was hoping the same thing! A lil trolling seems afoot again.
That car would be so fun to drive with some ITB's!
Wondering when someone would do that, though a 3SG(T)E power would seem more appropriate given cars weight.
Beams 3SGE would be the most ideal.
Oh hey, a bigport 4A-GE - now how about some twin-barrel Mikuni PHH sidedrafts on it? ;)
my god, that 4age motor totally photobombed the guys awesome thumbs up facebook photo!
What the hell is the point to this? This thing is just a shell now, as soon as you rip the motor out of the car so goes the soul of it as well. Anyway with the amount of info from the first round of forced induction setups, isn't this kind of pointless the stock motor looks like it has balls all of it's own.

Now if the engine is... ruined or your car doesn't have an engine...by all means go nuts. |
Don't worry, this guy is Pat Cyr from Canada, a pretty good drifter in DMCC, you may have seen him in proam circuit last years in the states with his turbo F20C powered green AE86 coupe
And this engine was one laying in his shop, he has too much AE86 around I think... |

Like to see the other way: an AE 86 with boxer FA 20 engine... Any one?
Naw. I sold my AE86 to get the FR-S and the one thing I miss is the 4AGE singing. Still got the AE82 so can still get my 4AGE melody.

Thank goodness this is a joke! The 4A-GE bluetop is such a poor piece of 80's engineering. Not to mention it's probably heavier than an FA20.

Well, that's just like, your opinion, man. I dunno, I guess it was OK for it's time. However I'm used to living with many of them after they've racked up 150k+ and they suck at that point. Oil leaks everywhere, vacuum leaks, noisy valvetrain, and rod/crank bearings that are ready to spin if you don't monitor oil consumption with a microscope. And they make **** for power unless you buy an unobtanium Hasselgren FA version. |
