Touch nav system!
i hope this is what we get in the US, at least as an option. looks good, very apple-like :D

If the nav ends up being a $2k option like on most cars, I don't care if it makes my lunch for me, I'd still pass on it. Better to pick up a separate Garmin for a few hundred dollars.

based on the "build your own" system from the toyota website for the camry, the 6.1inch touchscreen is included in the first upgraded trim package
which is an addition of, incuding the other additions such as chrome grill, keyless entry, and upgraded steering wheel $1000. that doesn't sound bad to me |
I want TRD guage. I don't need a nav. If I want a Nav, I would get a 7-10" tablet, which is 1/4 the price of OEM and has more functionality.
|
My phone has free nav and all I would need is to buy car mount. The better option for me. You could even get a tablet for cheaper.

Don't waste money of it is a option. So many alternatives.
1. Cell w/ car mount. 2. Tablet. 3. Aftermarket Head Unit. 4. Use a Map |
i dont really care about the nav system. i just like the screen  imagine if it has GT-R style digital gauges? who needs the TRD gauges! if only...

if it plays video off my iphone or a stored hdd then im getting it.

I am worried I might be the only one who is thinking of getting the navi. The look of that touch screen is good and I plan on keeping this car for at least ten years.
Sure I could get an aftermarket h/u, but I am not really looking to start tearing the interior of this car open until the warranty is over; plus then integrating the Bluetooth mics and all I'd just rather have something from the factory. That is if the navi unit doesn't have a shitty user interface however. |

Actually I don't want nav because I want to keep the car for a long time. Look at nav units from 10, or even 5 years ago. They don't age well and a lot times you can't update them. Google maps on my phone is always up to date, and if I get tired of it I can just buy a new phone. |

It looks like a standard double DIN. I'll be removing whatever comes standard and installing the bluetooth sony unit I'm currently using and using my phone for GPS.

I have an iPhone. It makes calls and stuff!! I personally don't understand the "phone wars". I don't give a crap what phone anyone else on this forum uses. |

It's Apple. But I would just build a mini-atx form factor pc and run a screen off it with touch software installed on windows. Done deal. |

i like the one in this picture a lot. we need more pics though! if it's going to be, what i think it's going to be (or hope), then the volume control will be touch sensitive! that would fuckin kill it |

Nav man, Gauges and radio/entertainment all in 1. Similar to this, personally i think its only a software thing and i cant see why not. If so and its $2000 then ill get it for sure. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...R/AY0F8289.jpg |
Give me less technology. I want a stripped down driver. Keep your Navis and touch screens for people that don't know how to appreciate a drivers car.
