I did pull the pin and bought it. It's surprisingly quiet even with the Catless front pipe. Doesn't sound ricey at all, nice deep tone that's not deafening. Only issue I have is the tips are fixed so adjusting them is a chore.

I've heard lots of really good set ups, here's some of my favorites:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfqhyWRSKSg"]TOYOTA 86 / SUBARU BRZ HKS Hi-Power Muffler SpecL 32016-AT022 - YouTube[/ame]

Top two systems in my mind right there :)

I am real close on pulling the trigger on the Q300 myself. Confusing choices for sure. I had too loud of exhaust on my MINI S, definitely want something that looks great, a better/lower sound, but not loud. The stock look is pretty average IMO. STI will look good for sure, but probably at least 2X the Q300 when it becomes available. My only question is when the STI pieces become available, is it worth an upgrade to STI intake and exhaust? In California, I want a Cal ARB approved intake. So AEM is a consideration now as well.

bump

STi exhaust is already available and yes it costs a little more than $1800 , not including shipping which will be a few hundred. Personally, I don't care for the sound and that price is just for a catback. If you have that kind of money go with Supersprint.

Hey man! I think I found your match!

Check out this exhaust. It is high quality, and an extreme bargain.

If I were you and had your budget, I would get this one from @Memphis in a heartbeat.

Invidia Q300 is perfect for that price range. :)

1strwdcar 12-10-2012 01:18 PM

FR-S Matt 12-10-2012 01:57 PM

Nameless Axleback

When more money comes along, Nameless Headerback.

Last time I contacted them, they just bought a high end saw and are ready to create their headers and start testing them within the next week or two.

JoeBoxer 12-10-2012 03:02 PM

That one from Memphis is a bargain, can't believe people are still buying Agency Power and that one is still for sale.

LIKEABOSS 12-10-2012 03:04 PM

You can snag the Borla from Amazon for $700 shipped. Slightly out of your range but eat in on night and you'll cover the difference.

I noticed in your signature that you have a Q300. What are your thoughts on it, and would you buy it again. Just curious on the recommendation.

all o2 sensors for the exhaust are located in the header or exhaust manifold. so probably no cels

i would recomend this exhaust to anyone concerned with how loud exhaust decibel your looking for. At idle standing behind cars isnt any louder that i can tell but deeper than stock. Cabin noise well i actually cant tell that there is any my INjen intake is much louder than that. Im guessing this car does not have much sound deadening. so when im really on it or in a indoor car park Its like I said its bassy-er than stock and very very slightly louder than stock it sounds like a 6 cylinder porsche, bmw, mercedes. and Yes i have worked at all those dealerships at one time and have driven multiple cars.

as far as power there is a very noticable difference up top form 5000rpm to redline. The car feels more potent all around. I just odered the catless front pipe INVIDIA from SPEED FACTORY today. and honestly any other dual canister exhaust system with a catless and or non resonator and the car will just be too loud.

I listened on the internet for weeks it seems to find the right exhaust for me.

Q300 plus catless front pipe for the win :thanks:

oh and http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/ Jeremy is the fastest shipper one of the most professional vendors on this site.

I have used 6 diffrent vendors of this fourm, he is honestly the best
