You're in the wrong forum and need to read the rules about trying to sell product via this site.

digital_assassin 12-05-2012 11:12 AM

I don't think the OP is trying to sell...

Haha. Whoops. My bad. Posting before coffee. :)

Turdinator 12-05-2012 11:21 PM

@TAKUMA do they come in other colours? Bronze perhaps?

gmookher 12-06-2012 01:18 AM

attractive, but, 9.5kg*2.2lbs sounds heavy ...

digital_assassin 12-06-2012 02:43 AM

Their about us page on their website says they've been around for 15 years but the site seems like it is a recent start up. One of the options (RST) state it's flowformed. Looks good. And I see fitments that will work for us.

No information on this wheel but if it's lightweight it would be a contender for my vehicle. It's their RSD

I am dubious. All the photos of super cars on there site appear chopped. Their Google presence appears to be about a month old, alibaba has them listed, all the wheels are copies, the language on the site is engrish in places.......don't want to be a hater but I aint seeing much that appears genuine and backs up the 15 years claim

digital_assassin 12-06-2012 10:58 AM

I found a thread on the Liberty Forum AU and Takuma seems to be very responsive to questions. Interested to see the real product.

Id like to be proven wrong for sure so this is good news. The wheels sure are nice looking.

digital_assassin 12-08-2012 03:58 AM

@Metabrz - I'm REALLY liking the 10 spoke RSD. I have been looking and am failing to find what they are a copy of. Their RSD is like a mutation of the Work Emotion 11R and the XD9. The 10 spoke symmetry is really speaking to me.

I can't find anything that is the same as their RST as well.

I think this company may be a legit start up and not just copying existing wheels. Point me in the right direction of the original wheels if I am wrong please.

rosco186 12-08-2012 09:11 AM

none are lightweight if thats what you're after. 18x8 are ~9.4kg up to ~9.9kg for 18x9. they have a few designs i like............after xmas im told the RSG will be available

JoeBoxer 12-08-2012 10:27 AM

Most look like Advan copies, one of them even has TCIII on it.

digital_assassin 12-08-2012 01:32 PM

Ok, I see a few that are direct Advan copies. Their VKP, T9C, RGD & RST are exact copies. Bummer. Anyone know what the RSD is a copy of?

The RSD is a copy of the RSD, they could be made in the same factory for all we know with a different label.

digital_assassin 12-08-2012 02:04 PM

Cool. I didn't see a full matte black model an the Advan site.

I didn't either, had to do a google image search but having the same names makes me very curious how they are able to get away with it if they aren't related companies.

digital_assassin 12-08-2012 02:21 PM

I'm noticing both websites even refer to vehicle fitment as "tricks out".

JoeBoxer 12-08-2012 02:26 PM

The Advan RSD only has the lug holes, looks like the Takuma has 10 instead of the Advan's so they aren't the same wheel.

schtebie 12-08-2012 02:50 PM

Looks more like the Work Emotion 11R

That's an 11 spoke, the others are 10.

digital_assassin 12-10-2012 02:16 AM

I like the Work's but my OCD self can't deal with asymmetrical design. Just one of those things for me. 10 spokes are just the right amount of spokage too. The Volk CE28n would be another option for me but the spokes on this design are just a bit fatter which look really nice.

adprokid 12-12-2012 12:41 AM

Takuma!?

JoeBoxer 12-12-2012 01:11 AM

These have been reported to the Yokohama office in Japan by mackin.

2point0 12-12-2012 01:13 AM

maybe they can get away with "RSD" since it's not "RS-D" (advan).

JoeBoxer 12-12-2012 01:16 AM

I can't believe they aren't even changing the names

^ Yeah. They are all exact copies. No attempt at even subtle changes. Can't believe I didn't catch it right away. A strange thing is the AU forum I linked on the first page talks about them costing around $500 per wheel which is way higher than you would expect from a copy so I'm a bit thrown off here. Hell, the $299 listed on the website is way more than most copies.

TAKUMA 12-13-2012 01:10 AM

you guys cant accept new brand?

this is USA huh...such a small world -_-

DarrenDriven 01-02-2013 01:24 PM

Added to the Wheel Directory:
http://tinyurl.com/86wheels

Verdict is still out on this brand, but since the wheel exists and is photographed on an 86, it get's into the Wheel Directory. Buy at your own risk.
