I didn't get to buy anything, I'll just buy online.

Line at Fry's Electronics was EASILY 6,000 people. It wrapped the entire complex, which is gigantic.


Me and my bro pulled in the White Supra. No cats, HKS Carbon Ti, Single Turbo, External WG, blah blah blah. This shit is loud as hell.

Almost everyone there is Asian, all of them know what a Supra is.

I swear, I have never heard more, "Holy Shit, a Supraaaa!!!!" than at that place. I also had a few "Is it Turbo?" despite the incredibly loud HKS SSQ BOV that was constantly going off. We drove by the entire line, soaked up the reactions, felt like cool dudes. Then we went to the Best Buy next door, did the same. Then we went back to Frys to see people sprinting inside, with the employees trying to hold people back. But when the Supra rolls by, they all slow down and stare.


I'm a mega nerdy guy. I don't get much attention. And where I live, Flower Mound, there's just old people who don't take a second glance.


Needless to say, I filled my big ego quota for the year.


How was your BF experience? Actually buy anything?

I'm doing half & half. Half actually going there & half online.

I just finished shopping at Old Navy and now time for Sears and buy some Craftsman tools (I need new set)

Damn, are there good deals on tools? I've lost lots of mine because I never clean up after working on cars.

Although maybe I should put that money toward fixing up the garage...

I saw people outside of Best Buy at 10am today, it's absolutely crazy! I was out drinking in Dallas tonight, that's pretty close to Flower Mound right?

Haha, yeah, FM is part of the DFW metroplex. It's actually just 8-10 minutes away from DFW airport.

anyways back to topic no I dont do black friday anymore, only did it one time bestbuy after college my laptop died, after that waking up early and saving only $100+ is not worth it, TV's that saves me $500+ ok I will.

I'm out with the girl right now in some stupid long line at tillys for boots..... And the best buy here people have been camped out starting Sunday lol its stupid long so screw that

Not even worth trying to get electronics at the store no more. Only for clothes and such. Cyber Monday is much better to find electronics.

Black Friday is a no driving day for me. Haven't found any deals I'd want to pounce on online either. Just seems like cheap electronics you wouldn't normally give a second glance that make the "good deals" list now.

No, we actually wanted to buy things but when we saw that line, we knew that there was no way we could even get into the store, do we didn't.

I don't even bother. Saving 300 bucks isn't worth the time to me.

I go every year that I can...I actually like the whole manic, anxious shoppers trying to break their necks to get merchandise that isn't really that cheap anyway.

...Must be the years of working Black Friday sales during college. I'm immune to the overwhelming crowds really. I did happen to purchase 2 games at WalMart and bought a pea coat for the missus online at Old Navy.

I got a pretty good experience, I bought an Ipod touch and I was charged more than the online price. So I asked and they fixed the mistake with giving me a fifty dollar gift card, the ipod I was only suppose to save ten dollars so 40$ extra for me XD

I wanted to get a new TV, but I refuse to go through the stress of shopping on BF. If I on,y save $200, it's not even close to worth it for me.

The best deals I've seen have all been online. However, there really isn't anything I need, and after doing retail for nine years, I skip it and sleep in. Steam and Origin have great sales on PC games going on though. :D

Looking for camera stuff... but couldn't find any. Lol

Plus since the economy is already at its downfall... expect to see better deals getting close to Christmas.

Anyways a friend of mine walked away with a 56'' Samsung for $200, Asus laptop for $300 and a Ps3 bundle for $100.

I would've bought some cloths but... ya know.. college student.

I was sorta tempted to buy BF3, but then I thought, not a good idea, falling behind in schoolwork :/ Besides, 30 bucks isn't exactly pocket change, while cheap compared to full price of 60, the game is overpriced in the first place so...

Bought a much needed new outfit and finished up the shading on my tattoo so over all it was a good day.:thumbup:

FB was hectic! First time out with a bunch of friends, half waited at Best buy. The other waited at Target. We got a list together so we "shopped" at two places at once kind of thing. All I got was a Garmin GPS for $89. But my friends got 40" Samsung TV, laptops, ipods, all kinds of movies, and game consoles...We then went to the mall and shopped for clothes and few picked up apple netbooks...We finally got home 4 P.M. today and we were out around 11 pm on the 24th. I wouldn't mind going again except to remember to let the girls go to the mall and wait while we waited at the electronic store...

I saw a $1.7k camera at Best Buy yesterday, can't believe prices are still that high! Does it focus and frame the shot for you or what?

Oh and Giccin, if you have a broken canon camera call up Canon and mention it (the broken camera HAS TO BE UNREPAIRABLE!!!) and mention their customer loyalty program. You can get refurbs at a 20% discount doing so.

If they have stock and the rep is willing (some claim certain models aren't avail) a 60D is $640, 5DII $1599, although I believe it's been confirmed that the 5DII was pulled. 7D for less than 1100, etc.

Refurbished products scare me.. I don't know how many actuations its gone through.. or if someone messed with the shutter. :x

Canon goes through them though. Warranty is less of course but I've never had problems with refurbs before.

I'm waiting on that illustrious 5D Mark III! WHEN WILL YOU COME?!?! :cry: It's been "coming soon" for like 3 years.

But, yeah, when it does actually come out Mk2's will hopefully be cheaper! I want a Full-Frame Camera for filming, and i'll be getting one of the two.

Dunno. I don't mind refurbs somewhat.... but I've always.. have that weird gut feeling that there HAS to be something wrong with it. Otherwise.. why else would it be refurbed? Lol.. Yea I know its strange but damn.. I want to accept it since its cheaper just... something might be wrong with it.

As for Lens... POTN/FM/brand new are where I would buy used/new lens... Lol Need to see photos of what the lens produced, it's product date and the it's current lens body structure as well as its element.

Don't refurbs have to be returned in the 30-90 day return period? I can't imagine they'd be too bad if it was just a return and it went through canons refurb process.

Plus I'm kind of riding on the 5D MkII to be sub 1K after the Mk3 comes out!

i worked security that night at wlamart on black friday. It was crazy that night two lines full of people and reportes.

I caved! I bought Forza Motorsport 4 at Fry's for $30, couldn't say no!
