LED Door Sill?
 

Was wondering if there are any door sills out there that are like this

I know someone put the light-up scion lettering on the trunk lid where the logo was, so this should be possible. Any vendors want to take a crack at this? i KNOW it'll be a big seller/hot item.

I was actually contemplating the same thing... Wonder if @yospeed would be interested in this venture since he already has the door sills for purchase... "hint hint"

I don't have plans to release an LED version of my sills. That's not my area of expertise.

Sorry to go a little off topic but i wanted to know how to do that trunk mod. If you could shed some light on that it would be much appreciated.

there was a guy who was on here that was planning on producing one.. i will let him know that you guys are interested..

I just contacted the guy whos making them, he makes them for the IS forum.. he needs a stock door sills so he can make a template.. PM me if you can lend yours for R&D

Those would be pretty cool... Hell if you can get them for every other car you should be able to get them for the FR-S/BRZ.

I find the entire car too "dark" at night without streetlights around. this would help. I also want some courtesy lights for the back seat. waay too dark at night, when looking / unloading in the back seat.

i jus got a 15 panel LED dome and it lights up the whole interior (WARNING: do not look directly at it)

What would you pay for some light up door sill more importantly?

Any updates on these? I originally was going to look into some floor LEDs but think this will look much cleaner.

Was just wondering if anyone plans to make these? I think it would really add to this car. I was originally thinking of getting foot well lights, but thought it might be a little too much. However, some LED door sills that say FR-S or GT86 might look great.

Please not scion maybe toyota or Gt86 or even he piston logo would be nice

Beause not all of us likw those as much as you do. I personally prefer the sill lights. I think they look classier

This is a product that is available now for only $25 where as the door stills aren't even being made. Just showing people options because i think the door stills are over rated.

i think that projector is outrageously cheap looking =/

To each their own but I prefer subtlety over something like those projectors. Theyd be pretty sweet to have for a show car or something but for a daily driver they seem douchey.

Here's the thing my car is a DD and i will show it this summer! So i guess that makes me a Sweet Douche!

don't leave your doors open too long(i'd say a max of 10 min, but if you need to know more exact, i can do some tests), those projectors use a high power led that creates a decent amount of heat, and the design of the projectors doesn't lend very well to dissipating the heat that the unit creates.

I am a Scion FRS 14MY owner and manufacture genuine carbon fiber parts. www.superiordash.com I would love some feedback on some of the new parts I have developed. What do you think of these Genuine Carbon Fiber LED Illuminated Door Sills and interior / exterior accent parts? We are constantly trying to come up with new trend setting ideas to present to Scion and who better to ask then my fellow FRS owners :)
