That's something I would be interested in. I'm sure you can plan a meet up and a lot of us would attend.

Touge_ninja 11-18-2012 01:37 AM

Sounds good. Maybe a burgermaster meet?

BanzaiZee 11-18-2012 03:20 AM

Depending if I'm free, I'm down to join! So far I've been going to the drifting events and those were fun.

And no, I still haven't installed the spoiler... :p Waiting on a friend to get it painted for me..

The weekly meets I went to in Albuquerque (and previous to that, Philly area), were usually at a food place, people meet up, talk in the parking lot, check out cars... some eat, some don't - Usually one of the slower weeknights (Tues-Thurs)

Just googled that, in bellevue... looks like a decent place... Parking lot decent sized?

It'd be a meet and greet weekly or monthly thing. Car talk and maybe some food I think, no racing but I'm sure some people would like to talk shop a little.

BRZranger 11-18-2012 05:12 AM

I'd be down. Redmond, Kirkland, Bellevue all seem like easy places to meet that are of the freeway. I sometimes drop by Ishii motors in Bellevue to bug Steve, who is an FRS owner.

deucethemoose 11-18-2012 10:42 AM

Le sigh. North end is too far for me.

Chen 11-18-2012 12:13 PM

Well weekly/monthly might be to often for me to go. That would be like a 5 hour drive for me.

I'm confused by your original reply then? While I did edit the original post, I never changed the title...

BRZranger 11-18-2012 06:50 PM

Burgermaster Kirkland? Right off the freeway! And the scenery is good too...

mugen79 11-18-2012 11:24 PM

Weekly maybe too often for me but monthly i am down

goke186 11-19-2012 01:22 AM

could do a bi-weekly meet, there is also a burgermaster in Bothell

Touge_ninja 11-19-2012 03:10 AM

I'll go on Tuesday and check out burgermaster in bellevue to see the parking lot since I will be down that area anyway, anyone who wants to join us welcome

seven 11-19-2012 03:16 AM

I'm thinking bi-weekly is ideal...
Maybe start on the 4th of December and every other Tuesday after?

Didn't refresh fast enough, I wouldn't make this Tuesday as I'm moving, but I'd do the 4th, etc.

Figure 7pm or so?

BanzaiZee 11-19-2012 10:39 AM

I've got a class on Tuesdays... Can we do Wednesdays?

Touge_ninja 11-19-2012 11:21 AM

Im just going to see if the lot can accomodate a big group, and get some food as well :-D

Mickeyt86 11-19-2012 12:13 PM

I'm interested! I too am about 2 months new to the area and from ABQ area. If I were to go it couldn't be too late as I work graveshift.

Ironically I'm originally from Philly but I was living in ABQ before here as well. Moved here from ABQ about 10 weeks ago. Had a Black Corvette when I lived there.

The idea is a meet for the Eastside/Seattle area, so while I'm not trying to shut you out... I'm trying to keep it local for the area I live in (hence why I started the thread myself). I have a feeling if this is to be a regular thing, if we all have to drive an hour to meet up, no one will bother coming.

Maybe start a thread for an Oregon meet?

No worries. I figure the big meets tend to be in South WA so its halfway. This is to be like a little meet-up... maybe invite other car enthusiasts other than FRS/BRZ everntually but just to be a small thing to start and see if its worth to keep going. No one will wanna stay going if they have to drive super far (I know I wouldn't) but I don't see why the idea wouldn't work in your own area tho.

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but the OP wrote in the title line "Seattle/Eastside," so I'm thinking (s)he was trying to rally some local folks together....

BanzaiZee 11-19-2012 11:34 PM

Damn, I was too slow.. lol don't mind me....

goke186 11-19-2012 11:44 PM

Touge_ninja 11-20-2012 01:38 AM

The one next to Gold's Gym? I live like 10 minutes away from there lol. I also go to school in Kirkland and work in Bellevue so I'm all over the place!

Le86 11-20-2012 01:47 AM

Btw, D icks's Burgers in Edmonds used to have weekly meets on Thursdays, during the summer. Not sure if it's still going on now.

Le86 11-20-2012 01:48 AM

I agree. Give me a date and time and I'd cruise over from the dry side of the state.

yay for Kirkland/Bothell meets! Should do a Juanita Beach meet-n-greet before heading over to eat at a resturant..that way late comers don't feel awkward trying to find and eat with a group they don't know..and we can put names to faces and faces to cars so we have more to chat about based on initial impressions.

XD anyway...IM DOWN

Eastsiders should meet every 2nd Saturday of the month, and Seattle meets every 4th Saturday. and we can change it up, so we at least have one meet a month if any of the two fails.

zenfamily 11-20-2012 01:44 PM

I'll drive the hour just to meet up, as long as I know ahead of time.

rthaanum 11-20-2012 03:58 PM

Im in Puyallup, which is a bit south, but I am down for driving a little ways for some bi-weekly meets. I have been looking forward to meeting up with some of you guys to "talk shop". Let me know what you decide!
