Black Carsmo spoiler on Firestorm FRS?
 

Hey guys I'm the lucky one that won the Carsmo spoiler at the 2nd NorCal GT86 Meet over the weekend :happyanim: First thought was to get it painted red to match my car, but decided to Plasti-dip the spoiler black to see how it would look. Its kinda growing on me. What do you guys think?

i like it from those pics. a 3m carbon wrap would be nice as well prolly.

I like it with the black emblems but would probably want it painted myself.

Needs InitialD Livery to set it off....

if you go with a black spoiler, i suggest you go with more black accents on the car i.e. black roof and blacking the mid section of the bottom bumper (don't know what it's called lol).

I'm with psk on this. If you vinyl the roof it will look better.

While it does not look bad in black, I'd rather prefer it in red. Otherwise you'd need more black accents on the car to match it imo

Couldn't agree more.

It looks good, but with a black roof (and antennae obviously), and the lower middle section of the front bumper painted black, it would look even better.

The more I see that spoiler the more I like it. It is the perfect size.

I like it, kinda what i want to do with mine. Thanks for giving me a good example of what it will look like. I dig it, but yeah it'll need more black.

IMO, would look much cleaner red. Now, it just looks like you were too lazy to paint it. A cheaper alternative might be a dry carbon fiber vinyl wrap. I know that's "cheating" in some circles, but that matte CF look might provide a really nice contrast against the shiny bright red, and it wouldn't as look "mis-matched" as it does now.

I would do this..
- Get a black sharkfin to keep the black/red theme.
- Vinyl wrap the TOP exposed part of the carsmo, but leave anything facing backwards black. The carsmo is much too 'thick' of a spoiler for all the black accents overtaking the original red paint.

Congrats on the prize. I wish I was able to go to the meet! Regarding your, car I would paint it red to.keep it simple.

I voted black, but like others have said, I think it needs more black on the car to go with it. Black shark fin, wheels, I don't know about wrapping the roof, but maybe that as well. Maybe something like that black stripe the yellow sema car had down the middle of the car instead?

I think this was temporary just to see the black on red. The man seven painted his badges cuz he didn't like the plastidipped look in the end. Vinyl would be a good cheap alternative considering more black need to be added.

Black but like everyone's been saying you'll need more black to accent it. Rims, Sharkfin, wheels, and roof. It'll look super good.

Yes this is temporary. I haven't even mounted it on my car yet. Just plasti-dipped it just to see how it would look like. I'm gonna bring it to a shop to get it painted once i decide if i want it black or red. Right now leaning on black and as others have suggested I'll probably do a black vinyl roof and antenna plus the bottom portion of the front bumper between the fangs.

Stick with your plan, go for black and add the black accents you mentioned, it'll look badass!

can't go wrong with either option, it will look great painted red, and will be awesome too if you have more black accents to go with the red/black theme.
