Call us indecisive, but we can't keep a set of wheels on our car for more than a week

Just mounted a set of Rota MXR's on our shop FRS

The specs are 18x8.5 +44 front and 18x9.5 +38 rear

The color is Royal Silver and the tire sizing is 225.40.18 front and 255.35.18 rear

We are lowered on KW Variant 3 coilovers, which is a night and day difference from any spring setup...not to mention the super nice stance they give the car :)

I love it. But If I were you I'd take the rota wheel caps off and black out the headlights.

Asphaltfrs1 11-08-2012 09:09 PM

It looks perfect. I like how the wheels make the headlights look good. Everything seems to go well together, the painted side markers is the cherry on top. Love it! :)

Also, what is the weight of those wheels?

jjdrivesajazz 11-08-2012 09:32 PM

so clean

Wondering the same thing, really like the look, wondering if 8.5 is a lot heavier than stock. Might consider running the 8.5 all around if the weight isn't too bad.

Looking good. I like.

Yes I second this. the wheels look great with the silver badges, logos, and headlights. Looks great. It's a tough call. some will go for the black and white theme but I am leaning towards this. Silver and white. :happy0180:

headlights maybe, but removing the caps wouldn't really make sense as we're marketing Rota wheels since that's what we sell.

We are working on a cleaner new cap design though.

~ 20.5lbs front and ~ 22.5lbs rear

Oh if I could put in a suggestion, a silver cap with black lettering would look great. IMO it shouldnt be glossy, just makes it look tacky.

actually we're working on a color matched cap, that will be the same color of the wheel. :)

ihaskrayon 11-09-2012 01:45 PM

Maybe it's just me, but the trunk lip looks to be a different shade of white in the bottom two pictures.

The wheels are nice, but not my style

yea it's the pearl, certain angles it doesn't look the same, certain angles it looks spot on

Even the factory painted front and rear bumpers don't look the same as the rest of the body lol

CharlieChaos 11-09-2012 01:52 PM

wish I could swap my wheels like you guys do =P Im jelly

1ConfuzedBastard! 11-09-2012 01:58 PM

Very True!

I'll start the CharlieChaos needs multiple wheel fund care to donate :bonk:

jedichimp 11-09-2012 07:08 PM

Never posted the Royal Silver on the car I don't think.

That painted side marker is interesting, I'd either do that or the clear.

IntotheOcean 11-09-2012 07:17 PM

All I can say is wow
lol-No I can say more.
Its fucking sick!

chaotichoax 11-10-2012 12:12 AM

I actually have a set of these for sale right now in hyper black haha

Any chance you guys would offer color matched side markers? I assume you used the same local painter as your taillight. Looks like he does good work. A swap out program for side markers wouldn't be very costly to him and I think a lot of people, myself included would love to color match them.

We won't be doing that for people unfortunately, but its something any local body shop should be able to do pretty easily
