how will the key fob look?
 

now that we know the FR-S can be had with a keyless entry and ignition, i was wondering how the key fob design will look? maybe something close to this?

If the push button start is an option and not standard, I'm going to say it'll be like the tC RS fob and the key will look like the standard Scion.

I'd assume it would look similar to the new 2011 TC key.

I just wish if they will offer the classic keys (love holding my beloved car keys in my hand) but if Toyota going with the modern style keys hope they make it like the LC200 key like this

if you really care all that much, I've seen people buy different housings for the key and just placing it in them. The outside is essentially a plastic box/cover.

I would be happy with that.

it's not something that will keep me from buying the car but it would be nice to have a well designed piece for such an important car.

I hope it is made out of carbon fiber!

A friend of mine bought a Jaguar key housing for his Fiesta, kind of pointless cos if someone saw it and went "wow you've got a jag?!" He'd have to say 'No... a Fiesta..." but that key was about as beautiful as a fob can get...

You can buy aftermarket ones also if your not happy with it. Other than that im guessing it will look like the generic ones Toyota has now, no need to reinvent the wheel(or key fob). I kinda want the one that is like a switch blade with the key inside just in case the battery dies. Saw it on the gen coupe forum awhile ago and thought it looked spiffy.

That in black with the FT86 Boxer logo on the back in silver would look soo badass.

All I hope is that it works.... but it we are making a wishlist.... I hope the key is made of unicorn horn, changes colo(U)r {there you go Slide haha had to do it} and gives me a BJ whille I'm driving.

Thanks. Not a 100% match, I just remember seeing one when I was at the Subaru dealer the other day. I like a flip key (ala VW) as they fit more nicely in a pocket, but this is ok too.

...but if you have a remote, you have to carry that too. Otherwise you can put house keys, multiple car keys, etc on one. (for those with multiple cars - always having each car's keys on you)

I do like the Nissan fob, the rounded-ness makes it feel comfortable in your pocket.

Best key fob I've seen so far IMO. But we'll probably get something like the tC fob :(

I personally like BMW key fobs the best it's nice and clean and simple, but still looks unique from all the other ones.

Omg is that how Lexus key fobs looks like now? That looks super cool but we're talking about Scion here so I don't think that's gonna be possible. I wonder if we can some how program that key fob to work on the FR-S, since they're both basically Toyota tech.
