BRZ Navi in the FRS?
Hey everyone, I'm just wondering if anyone has done this? I'm looking to purchase a BRZ navi, but I'm not sure what kind of plugs will be required. Any help would be appreciated!

id like to know if this is doable as well.

I am almost sure it is... It should have the same wiring, I can confirm with Toyota.

I hope you guys are getting a really good deal on a BRZ NAV unit. Even though I will not be replacing it soon I wouldn't buy another one on purpose!
|
I'm wanting to do the same. The stock hu is boring as hell.

I wouldn't wish the BRZ navigation unit on my worst enemy. It's pretty hateful to use.

I hope it would be a 100% direct swap but I have a feeling it's not, but that's just based off the fact the antenna is different.

The antenna is larger for the GPS, head unit might work but the antenna is gonna be an issue.

The connectors are different, but splicing should make it work.

The BRZ is headunit is pretty bad. Seems more like technology from about 5 years ago.
Really slow Nav. Really slow scrolling through long iPod playlists/search screens. On the plus side has good touch sensitivity and the MAP support from reading incoming messages is pretty good. Volume knob offers easy adjustment - not overly sensitive. For coming with a 28K car which places emphasis on performance, I can't really complain. But I would never buy it on my own. |
How much for the BRZ nav unit? I saw a great 7inch tablet install that I might try? Anyone else do a custom/aftermarket HU?
