Scion did another tour event, this time was tour to SEMA. 300 miles driving Torrance to Las Vegas!

*Note* Due to so much event/things happened within 48hrs, I'm going to break it down into 2 different threads.

Not sure. Some are staying til Sunday, but most owners are leaving today. As for myself, I had to leave early (yesterday) :cry:

I have a weird question. Do you know anyone who had the Toyota badges on their cars? I wonder how the official Scion People feel about those of us who have rebadged.

Just got done washing my car in 37 degree farenheit in Ottawa Canada and come in to see pictures of this fantastic event. Can't wait for the second installment. One question, where can I get my hands on a blue and a red FR-S ball cap. They look great.

I was thinking the same thing on the caps

Yeah, morning was a bit cold, but around 9am it warmed up nicely.

Wow... Was there a thread leading up to this... Living in Barstow I would've at least like to check out the cars while y'all where in Lynwood... And the fort Irwin sign.. Up that's my exit every day to work lol... Just would've been nice to meet up and meet some people

Sadly, it was a selected SoCal FR-S owners event, so very few got the email for this event... BUT I'm pretty sure they'll do another cool tour event, so keep an eyes on it ;)

Selected lol... 2 miles of FRS's sound like everyone in so cal but me lol... I'll keep a look out if I knew where to look... I'm have to call my dealership and find out what's up ;)


And I hope this doesn't sound like whining one bit... I just haven't seen another FRS in the high desert yet

Then I would recommend doing is become friend w Moto on FB. He always post FR-S events

Scion folks are fine with it! It's all Toyota family. But they will ignore the Subaru badges since it's really more the corporate identity being represented in a weird way for the Subaru people...:) Not that Toyota has issues, but more to not create issues at Subaru folks.

So wouldn't that in a way be saying (if you were that person), Scion is cool enough when they are throwing you free events and tossing free swag, but not cool enough and to embarrassing for you to retain the badge on the very vehicle they sell?

Thanks for the coverage. Makes me wish I was close enough to participate.

I'm about to ask too. I follow Moto mod log quite often and havent seen that bodykit yet. Will keep an eye out for when its official.

That would be the Five Axis Design 19" set.

We'll have a few more revisions and fitment adjustments before it's fully ready in ABS plastic and flex-fibers. I'd expect all of these to be completed and final form ready for sale by January. :D I'll keep you updated on our progress.

Also, side plates are also in design works as well, but just didn't make a prototype in time for SEMA...
PS. Excuse the pearl white color mismatch, this was painted 36 hours before SEMA departure, with parts flown in from Japan...

I would rather think the owners and people here on FT86 Club is taking the Scion vs. Toyota thing way more personally than any staff at Toyota ever will... This whole animosity exist only in the minds of the forums and owners who rant and rave about this. Trust me, its all fine. TOYOTA is alive and well.

The above two photos show a diversity even in Japan about what the Toyota 86, Scion FR-S are all about.
A radio DJ, Miss Chiho Oda, is also a licensed race car driver, who drives a Toyota 86 for its cute fashionable traits, and the latter photo is the very CEO of TOYOTA, Akio Toyoda, taking the wheel at the ALL-JAPAN Rally as a legitimate licensed entry, and all of us are also part of this exciting automobile that transcends boundaries of genre, nations, and any stereotype to be a very popular car for many reasons.

Let's keep it that way.
