Sykart Next Week (Portland area)
 

Let's get a group Sykart meet going for next week.

I can do Monday (6pm latest because of league racing), Wednesday, or Thursday (before 7p dinner in Tualatin). Any time works for me.

What do you guys think?

After the Thursday night meets some people do occasionally go to sykart... I went there wayyyyy to much before so I banned myself so I won't be racing most likely but maybe go to hang out and watch. I asked how many races I had done and it was over 90 and when you do the math... It adds up quick, therefore banning myself lol

This thursday is surgeline first thursday of the month for me

Umm... I don't get it. Is Surgeline not a shop?

I can't do Mondays and Thursdays (Work call those nights, usually not free til 6:30.) Wednesday is best for me.

One of the times I was racing there, they were looking up how many races people had done because they'd had a computer issue that added 1000 to everyone's total races. This kid couldn't have been older than 17 or 18 and had done over 1500 races even after correcting for the bug. They figured he had spent about $18k there. :eyebulge:

I think this is gonna happen Thursday this time, because it is convenient for those who also want to hit the Tualatin meet.

We'll do it again in a couple weeks on a different night.

I'll go and watch/take pics. Should be fun.

Yeah, the karts feel faster at the Tukwilla location because of the gearing... but this topic is for the Portland Sykart meet.

Yeah, you have have a membership for the 9s right? I don't want to be the only person in the 9s. It does make me feel a lot better about myself though when I pass everyone!

I'm planning to cut work a little early to make it.

I'm going... but may I suggest that the guys who are 9hp rated compete against us in 6's so that we can get a friendly competition going? I'm 9hp rated, but gonna race 6's to even the playing field.

So if I counted right, there should be 7 of us going? Are we all headed to the Thursday meet afterwards?

Yeah I'll be there! The earliest I can be there would be more like 6:45 though.

I can't guarantee I'll be there; I will not know until tomorrow morning. I'll probably pass on the meet afterwards.

It may be worth calling a few hours ahead once we know how many are coming and reserving a few race times so it's just us out there. We've had people do that on us before so I know they will do it.

6's arn't my cup of tea being 6'4 and 230 lbs... I'll be passing you all by in the 9's for sure ;)

What meet? The Surge line first Thursday is rescheduled for next Thursday because of SEMA.

Not the Surgeline meet, the Tualatin meet!

I've gone to both in the same night before.

I should be able to make it earlier at around 6. I'll just have to head over right after work.

Cool. 6pm @ Sykart... anyone on the east side can meet at my shop at 4:30 for some pre-racing beers.
