I'll be at BW on 11/18. Hope to see you and your sweet JRZs there!

renzo1982 10-26-2012 12:00 PM

I am going to try to make it on the 18th, crossing my fingers. If I am there, come and hang out.

Thank you sir, what happened to your brakes?

Simply put, I decimated them. Caliper seals were leaking, rotors and pads cracking/flaking...

That's impressive  My carbotech pads only lasted 2.5 track days, I have to upgrade to a BBK asap.

RYU 10-26-2012 01:39 PM

I'm going up with HP+ stock pads and HPS for the stock rears (they don't make HP+ rears yet) and leaving the RS3s at home. Going up with the Prius tires since you guys are scaring me with the brakes! lol Any thoughts?

1st time on the track with this particular car. Hope to see you guys there.

From the sounds of it.. BBK is not an option but a necessity :(

Depending on how you drive, and what track it is, you should be fine for a little while. I had some weeping after two days at BW with a 100% stock car... YMMV

I really want a rear tower brace, but I need to be able to fit golf clubs in the back - do you think it will still be possible with the brace back there?

Put the RS3 and enjoy yourself, just make sure you switch to some better Brake Fluid like Motul.

duuuuude....skip the HPS rears. I don't think they are better than stock.

How high off the floor is that?

RRnold 10-26-2012 01:58 PM

Nice!! :party0030:

Where did you get them from?

Am I better off with the Ferodo 2500s all around?

I don't mind swapping pads track side but BBKs won't be until next year so I need my parts to last a while for DD duties lol

Yes, definitely.

HP+ and Ferodo 2500s will get the job done with the stock tires. I'd be happier with something a little more dedicated but you should be fine.

I'm interested in the AP pads that essex has but don't have any experience with them first hand.

The Ferodos would be great on the street while the HP+ will be noisy.

You have PM!

+1 on the noisy HP+. It's the one thing I hate about them but figured most/all performance pads were that way.

I'm going to try the AP Street pads myself, probably be in the spring though.

Sorry to OP for threadjack on brakes...

It's about an inch, this is the Cusco rear bar.

Matt Andrews 10-26-2012 04:27 PM

any better shots of the front top mounts? interested in the underside and where the bumpstop meets the top hat.

This guy, always asking for my top secrets. I will take a picture of it tomorrow, would you also like me to wear pink underwear while I take the pic?

Circuit Motorsports 10-26-2012 07:08 PM

Very nice, looks like you have it set at a good height too.

Yes, only lowered about an inch. Anything more and geometry gets screwed up.

Legit! Great choice on the JRZs; they're amazing coilovers with superior build quality.
