AVO Turbo Kit for Oz
The price inc GST is $4,400.
To secure one of the the kits I'll need a $500 deposit. The kit includes an EcuTek tune and the stage 2 tune when it's released. Stage 2 will require hardware purchases such as MAP sensor, injectors, etc. You will need to purchase an EcuTek licence to run this kit or use a standalone/piggyback solution. The licence can be purchased from AVO or any other EcuTek supplier. Optional Parts: AVO 2.5" stainless steel cat-back exhaust for turbocharged vehicles (MSRP $990.00) AVO high-flow panel filter for the BRZ and FR-S (MSRP $55.00) AVO Blow-off Valve Kit (MSRP $220.00) ProECU Programming Kit For details of the kit see this thread. http://www.avoturboworld.com/media/ceramic_coat_001.jpg http://www.avoturboworld.com/images/...1_turbokit.jpg |

So how much would the kit likely cost all up installed and tuned?
|
And has there been any dyno graphs released?

Quick question: how would one go about getting this engineered in Sydney? Any idea what the total costs for the process up until handing over the certificate + blue slip to the RTA would be?

I don't know what it costs. Best to call the Roads and Maritime Services and ask. |

For orders placed today the kit due date would be mid-January. All the kits due in December have been accounted for. |

I thought it would be a good idea to initially ask a vendor of the product in Sydney. |

Discussions with my dealership seem to be different to yours evidently. |

Its like if you lower your car and then a driveshaft fails I wouldn't expect warranty to cover it (CV angles not correct etc) |
I dare say people buying the AVO Turbo Kit are like me and aren't concerned about warranty.

Assuming the TRD supercharger will likely be expensive and low performing in comparison to other offerings (so as to be safe for warranty purposes.) Otherwise who would buy it? What car have toyota released in the past 5 years that has TRD aftermarket performance accessories for you to compare to.. |

TRD - is Toyota Racing Development made by Toyota Technocraft and as such the original vehicle warranty is not covered on these parts. They aren't Toyota factory items as such. They will have a warranty on the parts themselves but I wouldn't like to bank on a warranty on the driveline and engine components. You are increasing the stress on factory driveline and engine components, how can you expect them to warrant them if there is going to be a heavier load on them. Not trying to be negative just pointing out the realities |
Must.. resist.. must.. keep.. warranty
|
Anyone want an early Christmas present? I have a customer that wants a later delivery.
The kit is likely to land early Dec. First in best dressed. Get in now to avoid a 2-3 month wait. |
