I sold that car and got this, the k24 fa5 became too much of a track car and it was no longer fun to drive on the street. Morgan at SportCarMotion bought it from me, so it stayed in the car family.

Sick! TC105n's?

Jakeedaman21 10-25-2012 11:08 PM

Whens the next Buttonwillow track day?

jamal 10-25-2012 11:11 PM

Also, lap times? Are you faster than Matt?

CSG Mike 10-26-2012 01:00 AM

Renzo, where was my ride!

Last weekend the track was dirty and I couldn't get any lower than 2:03.9 but I went out with Novak and Frank on Friday November 12 and ran this below. Perfect weather, track was spotless, really a good day.

Mike whenever you see me at the track, you are more than welcome to ride. I enjoy giving rides more than I like driving by myself, weird I know....

Yes, Weds brought over a special batch of 17 x 9 , 35mm offset, they fit perfectly with 245/40/17, no rubbing whatsoever. You can easily mount 255/40/17 but I would rather have the tire slightly stretched and that is why I went 245/40/17.

They have open testing days every Friday, those are probably the best days to go if you can get out there on a weekday. It's unlimited track time, not much traffic and ends up being more track time for the money.

I believe the next HPDE event is Extreme Speed Track Events check the schedule out here http://buttonwillowraceway.com/calen...s/automobiles/

I smell sub-2 before the end of the year... the S2ks won't be happy at all. RS3?

ECUtek (if it works as advertised... I still don't know anyone who has it on a NA car personally) would be enough to push this into sub-2 territory...

Mike Sub 2 is going to be really really really hard with stock like power and street tires, even with RS3. In the last few years that I have gone to buttonwillow, that day was literally perfect. Everyone that was out there with me was hitting their personal best, I believe Ken hit 1:59 that day in his Civic. Anyhow, we will see how things progress, I tell you what though, this is the most fun I have had in a car, now I just need to figure out what brakes to get. The Carbotech brake pads I got from Matt only lasted 2.5 track days, that's a little out of control...

CSG Mike 10-26-2012 03:03 AM

Sent you a PM.

renzo1982 10-26-2012 03:26 AM

Here are some pics of the JRZ RS's, extremely happy with them so far. Comfortable on the street and amazing on track.

It's pretty much the same as stock for street and perfect at track when I stiffen it up.

JB1 10-28-2012 06:11 PM

Can I ask where you purchased the JRZ suspension at ? They look great.

CSG Mike 11-05-2012 11:05 PM

We should be becoming a JRZ distributor in the near future :)

philstar 11-07-2012 07:49 PM

Secret sauce springs, I am testing a different rate right now so I don't want to comment until JRZ decides what they want to include in the kits.

Yeah it was a perfect day, track was spotless, cool weather, etc.. I went out the following week and couldn't break 2:03.

philstar 11-08-2012 12:08 AM

regardless that is an amazing feat! You must be one hell of a driver! =)

for months i was juggling between purchasing the FR-S or an S2000, and I never thought an FR-S could be this fast with such minimal work, great job!

I wish we could have s2000 like power in the FRS, then it would be perfect.

We are a JRZ dealer and the first as far as I know to have them on a BRZ. We gave them some good feedback on their JRZ RS1 dampers. Great coilovers!
