Need list of Wheels

So shopping around for some 15'' for my BF's little FIT. lol

But my knowledge of wheels are very VERY limited.

If you guys are bored out of your mind and forums is somewhat moving slow... could ya give me a few light weight brands we could pick off of?

I googled a bit and I found this forum and post. So.. something like this would help me do some searchin' around. :)

Quote:

BBS:
High-quality, expensive forged wheels that are very strong.

Enkei:
Prices vary widely, but even their less expensive cast wheels are typically well built.

OZ Racing:
They offer a wide variety of wheels, but their mid-grade wheels are reasonably priced and unique in that they're known for their use of low-pressure casting. OZ does what it takes to make their wheels strong.

SSR:
Uber-lightweight semi-solid forged wheels that are slightly cheaper than their forged competition.

Volk, or Gram Lights, or any wheel manufactured by Rays Engineering:
Uber-lightweight forged wheels that are normally quite expensive.
Gratsi muchos guys. :>

mkivalex 10-24-2011 02:37 PM

enkei rpf1's are cheap and light, better quality than rota.

RRnold 10-24-2011 02:43 PM

Outside of the dirty whores I'd absolutely hate a car show like that.

There are TONS of wheels that fit the fit. Depends on what you want width wise, offset, looks and budget.

x2 if thy made them in decent offsets/widths for 4 lug i d be rocking them right now

oneday 10-24-2011 03:49 PM

I highly recommend the Enkei Racing line of wheels. They are durable, super light, and reasonably priced. The RPF1 and PF01 are the two lightest and least expensive they offer.

PF01: 15x7 (<13lbs) or 16x7 (<15lbs)

I don't necessarily hate car shows. I hate most of the MEN yes MEN there. Most of the girls that I see there (the drivers) are so much more friendly. I can learn from them. From guys.. all I get are dirty looks and "don't fucking touch my car or ask about my car. Only models and men can."

Beh. :L

Some car meets are cool. Most of the time I don't like going to them.. even though I sometimes like too.

VenomRush 10-24-2011 04:15 PM

please dont mention rotas anymore.. i cringe at the thought of the name

check out the work meister cr 01.. i think those will look perfect on a fit

Abflug 10-24-2011 04:39 PM

I would go for used wheels

http://www.pandagarage.com/products/15.html to bad the Watanabe´s are sold

Also. Since it's a wheels thread.. I'll merge my tire thread here too..

IF. The FRS/BRZ gets 17'' wheels is it possible to downsize to 16''? I remember hearing you can't but I can't say for sure until it's been... confirmed. Lol

Would you like to see Rotas on my car?

I'll rock rotas forever. I track on rotas, autocross on rotas and daily drive on rotas (unless I need new tires then I use OEM, buddy clubs or 5zigen depending on which has the best tires on it at the time).

I just don't like the type of cars in that show. Not my scene.

Oh and I couldn't care less who looks, asks or touches (assuming no damage) my car. :)

Depends on brake/caliper clearance. The bad thing is that tire selection in the right sizes in 16" are going to be hard to find (there's a thread somewhere that I posted good tire options for all the logical sizes based on Subaru's 215/45/17 statement).

If 15s fit I'll likely rock 15s for autocross and track use and the stock 17s on the street.

I have some forged 5zigens in black that are 4x100 that would fit the fit, they aren't as cheap as new cast wheels though :)

no, i would not like the see the rotas on your car. to each is their own, but if you must know why i dont like rotas, its because they make profit off of other company's designs. now lets never mention it ever again.

back on topic:

im not sure if they make it in a size 15.. but i've always had a crush on the enkei NTO3+M's

So does Spoon and Mugen (you'll know the names if you come from the Honda world) :) Usually by rebranding instead of "copying" though. I have no issues with copies as long as you understand they may not function like the original (although that's less true of some parts compared to others) and you pick a brand that has good QC.

The girls at import car shows have always tripped me out and will do anything for a picture; absolutely no shame.

Dave, I can see how these car shows don't appeal to you since majority of them are for show. I've been to some car shows that had very clean and simple cars, some cool and some over the top and shows were off the cars were all ugly. Personally, I like the muscle cars shows more than the import car shows.

I asked the same thing but it looks like you can at the cost of a much reduce tire selection

blur 10-25-2011 04:31 AM

Rotas arent JDM, yo

How about diamond racing wheels? some people say those were/are a fad but sometimes a plain wheel makes the rest of a car pop

#87 10-26-2011 11:28 PM

Check out Kosei K1TS. I chose them over RPF1, when I was looking for 17x7 they were essentially the same price. Drive them on NYC streets for 3 years with 215/50 tire no problem.

I ran DRW 13x9s on the Miata for autocross for a couple of years...not really practical for street use, unless you run flares or like the pokey look.

VenomRush 10-27-2011 01:08 PM

what about a smaller width? cant you get those fully custom?

oneday 10-27-2011 02:25 PM

Yeah, DRW will do pretty much any width and offset, but you'd have to really like them to bother.

ZetaVI 10-31-2011 04:25 PM

I'd go for Enkei
