Don't you need an adapter to run the app?

bluetooth adapters are ~$15 on amazon or ebay. Get one of the super mini ones and it wont stick out at all which is perfect imo.

Yup, it's coming. :)

Anyone have a brand they can refer for the adapter?

:word: Last I looked into these, I heard terrible things about the eBay ones and I really don't feel like spending ~$100 for a decent one.

2forme 10-14-2012 11:31 AM

I'm using a USB adapter, it refreshes the data much faster than bluetooth.

Ny Brz 10-14-2012 11:53 AM

2forme which brand are you using?

Jayde - check this out [ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details"]BAFX Products (TM) - ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light and other diagnostics - Android compatible : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame]

Ny Brz 10-14-2012 12:33 PM

May get this one so it won't interfere with the pedal. Can't go wrong for 20 bucks. Doesn't interfere with the pedal or my foot at all.

Nothing other than typical head unit stuff like a wiring harness and dash kit.

What head unit is that, I found one similar on amazon but not the same. It will mirror anything from your android device? Torque/Nav/Video etc?

Also your usb OBD2 reader ... usb? you always have laptop in car or only when messing with stuff?

Thanks ~

Ca-Fi 621000. It's not a mirror, it's a standalone Android head unit with a special version of torque installed. The usb OBD2 plugs into the head unit to run Torque.

This thread has pics of different units as well as available torque app options for our cars

Now if you could get the track recorder plugin to work with reverse camera for forward facing recording that would be cool.

Wanted to bump this thread to see if anyone has additional setups they would like to share?

Looking at options for a Nexus 7', not entirely sold on head unit placement as I feel that it limits it's potential uses - would be nice to have it on a sturdy gooseneck, passenger could then use it for entertainment when not using Torque + easier to hide in footwell when parked in sketchy areas.

Anyone know of a place I can download layouts for torque? I just upgraded the software on my stereo and didn't save the layout to my SD card like i thought i did. I hate recreating everything (just lazy).
