86 Club Get Together - October/November 2012
 

Hi Guys. Ok so a few people seem keen on a get together to show off their 86's... This would be people in the Gauteng area, and others can join if they want to...

So... any suggestions? Do you think we should do a breakfast run etc? And for the dates, anytime in October/November would be awesome. :thumbup:

Awesome!! If you know of anyone on the forum, or not on the forum who has an 86 let them know. The thought of having 5 or 6 86's cruising around is awesome...

Ok well the dates I can make from my side are either 20th October or most weekends in November...

I still think a breakfast run is a good idea. So meet somewhere in JHB or PTA and drive through to some random town not too far away, have a drink and breakfast along the way. Then drive home midday/afternoon. We can plan the route closer to the time...

Sound good?? First step in my mind would be setting a date for this run.... I don't want to force people into committing a date, just want to make a date that suits most or all people... What dates would suit you?

I'm fairly open to any date. the 20th would be fine by me. Otherwise any day in Nov. would be fine too, i think.

Lets pencil in the 20th Oct and see who else is keen. We can always change it if anyone needs us to.

Crewzern is in Centurion / PTA if memory serves me correctly so we could, if you want, meet in Midrand at the BJ's bridge restaurant, then get on the highway and cruise somewhere for a breakfast, like you said? Just an idea.

20 th OCt Team ST has a 1/4 event at ODI so ill be there.
So depending on the date and I can be there - will be awesome!

Well for the 20th we could meet at BJ's and drive through to ODI.. Or move to a different date. Going to be alot of petrolheads at the ODI...

Well, I'm free most weekends in the morning so any date would suite me. I'll leave it up to you all to decide.

I had a cop car this morning who was revving next to me at the robot wanting to race! Was laughing so much I didn't even see the robot change haha...

Awesome!! So that's potentially 7 86's on the day... There is still a black one and orange one in JHB somewhere, I don't know who they are. Really would like to get them to this event.... Saw the black one in Linksfield and Orange one is Kempton Park... Anybody know them?

Any ideas on where to yet? I think Harties would be a bad idea since the roads are VERY bad. Cullinan is nice for breakfast runs.

Yeah... I've seen the orange one in Kempton, too. Didn't notice a wing or trd parts though.

I saw a white one this morning traveling out of Roodepoort on the N14 at about 07:20.

Can we make it for the Sunday, plus it will be more relaxed. Just a suggestion.

@RueFT86... That is a valid suggestion... We want to get as many people there as possible. I also have an event on the 3rd that I am going to miss as a result of the GTG.... So would everyone be fine with the Sunday the 4th? This should be the last time we move the date for this GTG....

Yeah. I'm happy with the 4th. Sunday is a good day for breakfast runs anyway. If everyone can confirm then we can start organising a time and place to meet. :D

I agree guys, Sunday will be awesome. We can meet around 7am or 8am then take a drive through wherever we decide. Although the trip to Harties will be awesome. Some nice scenic views with the mountains as our backdrops for some awesome pics.

About that black 86 and orange 86, is there a way we can get them on the forum. Its important that we have their input too :)

How about someone creative design a flyer we can put on 86's we see, spread the word.

I know the sales manager for the Bramfisher Drive Toyota - Randburg (spelling)...has a fully TRD kitted out 86 (incl overpriced TRD exhaust :thumbdown:)...will pop by the dealership and invite him once date is confirmed.
