Better than I expected!! Got any close ups?

Doesn't look bad from ten feet. Need to see close ups though.

I didn't want to show close ups because... well... kinda self explanatory. :barf: I plan to redo it this weekend now that I figure out how sensitive I have to be with the gold plasti dip.

Well, at least all you have to do is peel it off. lol

The close up shows the color off better. I think they'll look good once you've got a smooth finish on there.

The gold doesn't look bad, looks more bronze though. Would looke a lot better if the car didn't have a 5' gap :)

AHHH THis is the same thing that I am doing but leaving a base of flat black on mine. Cant wait!

That's what I did. Black base coat then Gold Metalizer on top.:)

Okay so I'm redo-ing on them right now. Solid gold like before or this new bronze-y look? I'm kinda digging the bronze.

i liked the gold. They kinda remind me a little of dirty flat black wheels.. it might just be the lighting.. i love dark bronze wheels, but these are very dark..

Thanks. I'm running out of time today and I unfortunately only had 2 jack stands so I'm going to be running on two painted wheels and two non painted haha. I used one full can of black on my two wheels today and just a little bit of the gold metalizer. About 4 even coats of the black on each wheel and one light coat of the gold. 10 minutes between coats and 25 minutes before applying the gold metalizer. I followed this youtube video:

Here's how one coat of gold looks like on the car. I'm going to take em off and add one more coat because I feel like this is too dark as well. :D

I'm waiting for a black or white frs to come in, was thinking about doing this in gold or black, this just sealed the deal, I think the black looks killer! The gold looks good too, just a little dull. Good job though, thanks for the pics!

Has anybody powder coated their rims? Would a gold powder coat come out brighter? Is it worth the $$$?
