The Scion Canada part number for the single set is PU320-18130-R1...

DeepHunta 09-30-2012 08:22 PM

sooo....can we buy them from the Canadian dealerships?

This accessory has always been at the top of my list for all my Subaru purchases. I even called Weather Tech to see if they made it for the BRZ, and they don't even have any clue what a BRZ is.

I thought this might be a thread somehow related to the "Game of Thrones" genre of reading. Alas, not so.

Weltmeister 10-01-2012 12:35 AM

I just ordered some lloyd's floor and trunk mats today. I'll post pics when I receive them.

So where's the Scion dealer nearest to the border?

LeftFootBrake 10-01-2012 01:02 AM

I reject OP's non-localised proposition.

Arctek83 10-01-2012 01:03 AM

Just wondering about the frameless windows...anyone ever had any issues with ice?

I thought this was going to be about winter driving and winter tires and I was already working on coming up with a snarky comment about living in Texas. I'm slightly disappointed it's about floor mats.

#87 10-01-2012 02:56 AM

Googling that part number I don't find it.

Can't find any pictures online.

Checking scion canada website I don't see it listed in the accessories section.
http://www.scion.ca/scion/en/vehicles/frs/accessories

Only mats I can find are the Lloyd ones which I haven't heard of before.

FRiSson 10-01-2012 12:08 PM

Weathertech is not responding to numerous requests to make their "digital fit" floor covers available for the FR-S/BRZ. Those would be my first choice.

dsgerbc 10-01-2012 12:11 PM

On the off-chance that anyone wondered if all-weather mats of a new Impreza fit our cars - they don't.

But the 2010+ Legacy/Outback ones do. I've already test fit the Subaru OEM all weather mats from my old Outback and they are almost perfect.

glorydays 10-01-2012 07:58 PM

So I'm just gonna jack this thread and ask a question... would you recommend this car for someone who lives in an area that get lake effect snow? I understand that it is a very low car with only rear wheel drive which doesn't sound too good but it does have an lsd with a decent traction control system. Would someone with experience in cold climates care to chime in?

Turbowned 10-01-2012 07:58 PM

Buy a shop vac. I've lived through numerous New England winters, and I've never owned a set of all-weather mats. Vacuum your car instead of being a lazy bum! It's a sports car that you're supposed to take care of, not a minivan for you to trash.

Sorry, but thread title made me think this was a thread about Game of Thrones. Oh and this (NSFW)
</troll>

Carry on.

BMWDavid 10-01-2012 08:23 PM

I'm parking my BRZ during winter. Though I will take it out when the roads are clean and salt free.

jimbobrand 10-01-2012 09:30 PM

Sorry that they're dirty, but they are all weather mats. The only issue with the '10+ Legacy/Outback mats is they don't work with the locks that hold the stock mats in place (but they do sit over them without bulging):

I'll drive it for a few days like this to see if they move around much.

That's like telling me not to wax my car because I should wash it before dirt has a chance to settle in.

no

That's exactly the reason I said Impreza mats are a no-go. So in my book Legacy/Outback ones are a no-go either.

Well good luck finding rubber mats, 'cause there aren't any yet. And I would never tell someone not to wax their car - that's plain dumb as $#!t. You can vacuum your carpet once a week and it will stay clean; most people are just too lazy.

It won't help the front but for those thinking of adding sand bags in the back the Impreza 5 door cargo mat fits perfect. I also suggested to Weathertech.com they move on getting a mat for the BRZ/FR-S...they seem to be dragging butt...maybe if we all submit a request http://www.weathertech.com/service/contact/

It's not about vacuuming. It's about muddy and salty slush that gets tracked into the car from plowed lots and streets. By the time the mats are dry enough to vacuum, you'll need to shampoo the carpet mats to get the dirt out.

Luckily for me I'm not going to be driving my BRZ during the Winter.

Turbowned 10-02-2012 02:19 PM

So kick the crap off your feet before getting in. Sit in the car with your feet outside the car and kick them together to get the crap off. I do it every time I get in a car regardless of weather conditions.

Shop Vacs are wet/dry, so you don't have to wait for them to dry. They'll take the moisture out along with the dirt.

ngabdala 10-02-2012 02:30 PM

I keep my oakley or puma driving shoes in the car. I take my boots/sneakers/shoes off with my feet outside the car and throw my driving shoes on and placed my slushy/salty boots in a plastic or cheap duffle bag

NOHOME 10-02-2012 03:13 PM

Mine came with them installed and the summer ones in the trunk. Oh wait...its a Scion. Wont fit in BRZ!

Snow tires, snow tires, snow tires, and dedicated snow wheels.

Every car I've owned has been RWD with decent to high power. Don't listen to some knob telling you you need AWD or the like. Everyone simply needs appropriate tires for the season.

jimbobrand 10-03-2012 10:28 AM

Two days in with running the Legacy/Outback mats and they haven't moved at all. Might be a good option till an official OEM option comes out.

Know if Weathertech is going to make a set? I'm also looking for a set of mats.

jimbobrand 10-03-2012 06:49 PM

No idea. I already had these from my Outback and don't plan to buy any others.

Some things you step in do not simply "kick off" your feet. All weather mats are a must have.

NOHOME 10-05-2012 10:36 AM

These were installed when I bought the car. They will do for what I need.
