We tested out our kits with dyno, picked up a few hp, but definitely noticeable different in throttle response.

Taking pre-order for BLACK and RED, as it will be available to ship out in early November.
Please contact me by PM if interested, thank you!

in many of those dynos, it looks as though you actually lose a decent amount of TQ in the dip area. How is throttle response affected?

The dip are most likely caused by the timing and the air/fuel with the ECU. We are trying to get an ECU flash and run another dyno, to see if the dip will remain or not. If you look at our other thread with our cat-back exhaust system on, the dip actually went away, as well as gain in HP and TQ all the way across.

The dyno runs state zeta silicone pipe vs stock, bud did not specify if you used the pipe with or without the noise generator opening. Is there any difference in power between the pipe with the noise generator and the silicone pipe without the noise generator opening? Thanks.

NM I actually see it now. I think these are a great add on. Seems liek they would be much better then most intakes out right now since most of them barely add any gains at all.

For both silicone intake pipe, it's using the same overall diameter, which will have the same outcome/result. The main purpose of the silicone pipe is to get ride of the wrinkles on the stock rubber pipe, to allow the maximum and smoother air flow between the air box and the intake manifold. The noise generator opening wouldn't effect the diameter on the pipe. It wouldn't make more/less hp between the two version of silicone pipe, it's just for people who want to keep the stock setup and having that additional noise to the cabin.

That Zeta silicone pipe IMO just looks like the HKS intake where they just replace the tubing and dont do anything else. They claim it gives improved performance but a lot of people claimed the HKS intakes design wouldnt do much since it uses to stock snorkel and air box and doesnt change anything except for the piping and the filter to a mushroom one in the stock air box.

If anything they need to do something like change the snorkel and make it bigger like how the SYMS FR-S intake looks like. It is all Carbon Fiber that has a huge scoop for air where the snorkel would be but looks way overpriced.

The Zeta just looks like an HKS intake just changing the OEM tubing. The OEM tubing IMO has its functions and I would be very interested in an intake that keeps the stock tubing and uses a different scoop like how the Syms or the Group M for the Evo.

Their was a thread that did dynos on drop in filters and they all got around 3-4 improved WHP. In the stock airbox. I dont see how changing the OEM tubing is worth that 1 hp gain unless it is cheap as hell.

We did the dynos just between the stock rubber piping vs our silicone intake pipe, with the stock OEM fitler, and did get a bit of gain in HP and TQ. Along with our high flow drop-in filter, we see more number as it's allow more air flowing through. Our system is similar to the other brand, as they are claiming 3-5 HP gain with their drop-in filter. We are just trying to show/proof to ppl what they are expecting to get from our parts.

Upgrading the silicone intake pipe is similar to a lightweight crank pulley. You might not see anything gain on the dyno chart, but the real improvement is the overall feel of the car and the different in throttle response, which is more sensitive and responsive.

Any update when the black will be available? Thanks.

showbe 10-23-2012 07:52 PM

I take back what I said. I have seen other intakes and most of them seem like they add no gains what so ever. These seem like the better upgrade for the cost also. A drop in filter/tubing is cheaper and has better gains then for example the Airaid.

Is it available in red yet? And how much for one with the noise generating shipped to 28562? Thanks

naikaidriver 11-26-2012 03:02 PM

The more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards getting this and a drop-in. the cost difference is too severe when compared to the cost of the Injen/Air Raid kits. Its not a slight against their quality products, just can't justify $300 for 4-7hp.

Been running mine for about a month and a half now. Can definitely hear the difference in sound and get a lil more room in the throttle. A+ mod, best bang for the buck!
