I'm about to head out to the magical land of @Visconti tuning. I have my stock intake, aFe Takeda intake, DSLR, laptop, and ECUTek cable by my side. John is kind enough to let me use his AIRAID intake for a couple of dyno runs.

I'll be doing a direct shootout between the two rotomolded intakes (stock, and off the shelf tune), amongst seeing what we can get out of either with tuning.

So stay tuned, dyno's and impressions are around the corner :)

Thanks for going to the trouble to do these comparisons. I'm excited to see the results, but please, no more teasing.

If it's not too much bother, could you include Stock with Snorkel and Stock without in your comparison?

Apparently john left the airaid on primes car for testing or something. Anyone in the area have one?

This is cool. My only concern with testing them back-to-back-to-back is it won't give the ECU enough time to adjust to give the truest, optimal results of each intake. My Takeda was installed 100 miles ago and the ECU is still adjusting with improved sound/butt dyno power since then.

Did you reset your ECU after installing it? Or are you letting it reset itself naturally?

We still need an airaid intake. Anyone around Norwalk ct that has one?

Edit: forgot to mention too... Pep Boys, Advance Auto Parts, and Autozone carry their stuff too... prob a much harder sell than a locally owned shop to get a loaner, but also prob depends on the manager. May have a better chance of finding stock though? Good luck!

I can't do the snorkel test. I already modified mine to have a larger mouth.

Yup 93 was first, stock tune, off the shelf tune, fine tune.

So was John able to get any gains out of the new intake you got or is his tune pretty much as good as it gets with or without an aftermarket intake?

I cant say : X i gotta let visconti and the op do the updates lmao...im trying to get the pics and videos over to you but the files are so big i cant email them so i have my brother editing them for me so when they are ready i will send em...all i say is that im jealous of 2forme's dyno.

i will say my target goal of 215tq and 160tq seems more realistic now with the right mods.
