Gulf Coast Meet (GCM)?
 

Has anyone thought of possibly planning a Gulf coast meet? We could find a reasonable middle ground such as Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, Biloxi, or Pensacola. There is a possibility for a good turn out. I have done this with past forums and it was a lot of fun. Just throwing out an idea for the forum.

Im down for P-Cola!!! only question is how many will want that?? Also, i've notice 5 different FR-S'ssss here in my area, never seen a BRZ, but something tells me that our cars are pretty scarce around the Gulf. Might just be me tho

How have you not seen mine? I park it near Building 85, normally in the dorms parking lot across from the fuel trucks. I would be up for a meet anywhere along the Gulf Coast. Cruising along Hwy 98 along the coast is nice as long as it isn't during rush hour traffic.

Im down for a meet, im in Biloxi there are 2 others FRS and 1 BRZ here, should find some middle ground like Mobile.

You got the blue BRz on eglin? I have a white frs but its in the shop now.

Thank you, I am glad others think it would be a good idea. I love 90 in the Biloxi/Gulfport area. I also like 182 Gulf Shores/Orange Beach) and 98, as well. Do you all think a vote to decide a location would be a good idea? How about time frame, location, etc.? Just getting ideas out there, it could turn out ot be a relatively large meet/cruise. Any ideas from anyone else?

I live in SW Louisiana, and I'd be down for a Gulf-wide meet in Mobile. I'd make the weekend out of it, of course. I would recommend it being held on a Saturday so people could travel back home Sunday.

I was thinking Gulf Shores or Pensacola. Either has a decent beach front, and some attractions to attend to. If you know anything in Mobile that would be a good spot throw out ideas. I do not know much about Mobile aside from the Battleship.

I'm in the 728th man! I don't see that side of base unless I decide to go see friends at the honor guard building. The folks in fwb should make a meet just to say hi and check out each others cars. I wanna see that BRZ tho. I wanted to get one until I found out the dealerships were tacking on 2500 on base price

I have had my FR-S since June 4th and have only seen 3 in the wild. More that that total but not counting the 2 car shows I've been to.

Meet in planning process. Needs more input so we can make it happen. The 4th of November is really the only solid plan at the moment.

Like I stated in the previous thread...I wouldn't be able to make it until the afternoon on Sunday. If you could change the time to later but that probably isn't good. Maybe next time. Enjoy the drive and look forward to meeting you all sometime. BTW...I'm the Blue/Black BRZ in Biloxi (Keesler).

Hey guys! I know this thread has been dead for a good while now but I am curious to see if I can revive it/generate interest in 86 meet ups in the gulf coast region.

Let me know if there are any threads or groups that are already dedicated to this. If so, I'd love to join!
