Very nice control! I got a newbie question, when u pull the ebrake midway thru a drift are you still accelerating? Or do you lift off the gas?

in the video, I clutched in for a split second when I pulled the ebrake to allow the rear to lock up, I generally keep my foot somewhat on the gas to keep the rpms up for when I let go of the ebrake.

I was doing it to slow down the car a bit, i could have just used the regular brakes but I just did what i felt most comfortable doing. FR-S has such an amazing e-brake, I love playing with it =)

canu_50 09-26-2012 03:56 PM

I totally agree about the fr-s having an awesome E-Brake, i was personnally using it a lot for my entry and correction on corner is just the usual stuff.

Question for you, did you at one point felt the TC go on. When i go drifting sometimes out of the blue when full angle and reaccelerating i feel it picking u a little bit, pull the e-brake and then i am good to go again!

Jeff86 09-26-2012 04:00 PM

Cool stuff haha! Nice driving

Synack 09-26-2012 04:36 PM

This is the entire reason I own this car :)

My post count also just hit 1337 status.

HAha, that would work good.
To OP:[sarcasm] So why didn't you bang down... into 1st? [/sarcasm]

Anyways thanks for sharing. Nice job!
Keep scootin that thing around.

DelayedBRZ 09-30-2012 03:54 PM

I think the best thing about all of this was........He kept it on a "Track." I don't have my BRZ yet, but when I do I appreciate lower premiums. Thanks for being smart and your car control skills are pretty frickin awesome!

Or you can downshift from 1st to Reverse! Works 87.3% out of everytime!
