its an alcoholic beverage that'll get you good and pissed.

When I want to sit and enjoy my beer I typically go out and find some Tenants of Scotland. My favorite lager by far. But thats hard to find around here nowadays so I usually just get Stella.

Gost 11-21-2009 01:34 PM

nothing wrong with american beer. Most of the asian people i know go grab a tsing tao or a heinken. id rather go grab a 40oz of colt45 malt liquor from the bodega for like $1.50

beer with orange????????? you SERIOUSLY need to be shown how to drink beer, beer and lime is only allowed if you are female, other wise, its a straight pint, no fruit.

No wonder we have to teach your students and forces how to drink properly when they come over here :p lol

They market it over here as a lager.:iono:

Hard as hell to find too. My favorite specialty beer store stopped carrying it.

And stella is fine if you're short a few bucks but still want something with some flavor. Bit more expensive than the domestic stuff (by a few bucks on 6 packs) but not enough so that it breaks your bank.

VenomRush 11-22-2009 03:25 AM

so whats ur brand monkey matt? gasoline? haha a beer should be enjoyed.. i have strong taste buds and i dont like to make that bitter beer face everytime i take a sip.. but if you didnt know most wheat beers are brewed with citrus

Yeah i caught that, and lol'ed at the video. Just had some flash backs to college......

By the way if you like Guinness try a black and blue or Black moon.. Like a black and tan with blue moon instead of Bass

OldSkoolToys 11-22-2009 04:52 PM

I drink my brother-in-law's home brews every now and then (when he gets around to it). You wanna drink some heavy ass dark ale with serious kick to it, brew your own. I had two bottles of his brew from the last holiday season and I felt like I had just drank an entire 6 pack of (insert domestic beer here) within 10 minutes.

Its also pretty good. We just got the remnants of a friends home brew set, sitting in our garage. Can't wait to try it out.

Bochet 11-23-2009 10:15 AM

America brews some of the best, most creative beers in the world. Our craft brewing diversity is really impressive.

You guys are really missing out if you think Blue Moon and Bud Light Lime are examples of America's best beers.

Sure we've got Anheuser Bush and Miller but we also have the most diverse group of micro breweries in the world. They produce some really stunning product.

The BEST beers in the world are brewed right here in America.

I personally love Mirco Brewery beer.

Hops in Orlando
DuClaw in Bel Air MD

But mainstream wise ( whats commonly available) we kind of are on the shit end of the stick!

Gost 11-23-2009 10:38 PM

i don't know if anyone here has tried anything from Brooklyn Brewery. They make something called the Brooklyn Monster and it'll get you shitty quick

You can say anything you want about American beer. I'll try almost anything just for the sake of the experience.

I like all kinds of beers. Some good (Alexander Keith's Pale Ale, Sleeman Honey Brown), and some bad guilty pleasures (Labatt 50 may be one of the worst beers ever, but it brings back fun memories).

I like Keith's too, but if you're citing Keith's and Sleeman Honey Brown as "good" beers and laughing at the fact that America brews the best beers in the world...well...quite frankly you're making a fool of yourself.

Bochet 11-24-2009 10:06 AM

http://www.greatamericanbeerfestival.com/

3,308 Beers present. 495 Breweries.

You asked what are some I like, and I told you. That's not exhaustive, not even close. And the only person "making a fool of oneself" is the person outlandishly claiming that the US brews the best beers in world.

But what do I know? It's not like the international community agrees with me or anything....

VenomRush 11-24-2009 11:51 PM

to be fair.. i asked what were your favorites

TRDMAN 11-25-2009 02:44 AM

Keystone light is THE best beer in the world

Ah, my apologies. I mistook you for Bochet, who is clearly taking my criticism of American beer not being the best in the world too personally.

My favorites? I enjoy a nice Stella or various Granville Island brews for something on the cheap, and I'm extremely partial to Japanese beers brewed in Japan (not like that Sapporo shit you can buy here bottled by Canadian or American breweries, yuck!), as well as John Labbatt Classic, but if I want to get fancy (and filling), then I order a Boddington's or a Caffrey's.

jay4prez 11-25-2009 11:42 AM

Its a toss up between Brown or Grizzly for me :).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02DFqcqcxfM <---this is my favorite beer here.

But for real, I'd go for an Amstel :)

VenomRush 11-25-2009 12:12 PM

i dont know if you guys have BJ's restaurant and brewery wehre you live but they have this beer called Tatonka Stout.. it was the thickest beer i have ever tasted also probably the darkest.. but for me it was only good while i was eating. after i finished my pizza the beer was just yuck

OrangeJulius 11-30-2009 03:22 PM

blue moon with orange

i've actually heard from numerous guys that it is a great combo but never tried it

i did think of it to seem a bit girly at first, but then again i have many friends whom are girls and drink the heavier darker non fruity stuff all the time.

thanks for the list of beers though..

leinenkugel
Widmer
Blue Moon
Tenants of Scotland
tsing tao
heinken
colt45
coors light
Stella
Chimay Grande Réserve
St. Peter's Organic Ale
Guinness or New Castle Brown Ale
Sam Adams Octoberfest
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Bud Light Lime
Anheuser Bush
Miller
Hops in Orlando
DuClaw in Bel Air MD
Alexander Keith's Pale Ale
Sleeman Honey Brown
Labatt 50
Keystone light
Granville Island
John Labbatt Classic
Boddington's
Caffrey's
Amstel
Tatonka Stout

i'm going to have to say some of those probably shouldn't be considered beers but none the less... yall posted 'em.

personally, the best kick it back, just a budweiser with a slice of new york style peperoni pizza. i'm quite satisfied right there, don't need nothin fancy.
