Looks perfect. Finally someone who gets it by not stretching tires out on a wheel that is way too wide for the tire. I am getting tired of seeing all black wheels that look like steel spare tire rims. I guess I'm old school since i like polished lips. Well done. The car looks great.

SpeedR 09-23-2012 09:30 PM

looks good!
Rims are a bit big and will cost you some performace.
could look better if you lowerd it some more.

SundayFRS 09-23-2012 09:45 PM

:happy0180:So jealous!!! Looks good

serial gixxer 09-23-2012 09:50 PM

18's would've been perfect imo but nice setup bro!

Ro_Ja 09-23-2012 10:03 PM

Stop faking the funk. Get rid of those BBS caps.

VENOM~ 09-23-2012 10:06 PM

LOL at bbs center caps.

I knew someone would say something... lol its just for the look alright, purely cosmetic, these wheels look really wrong with anything else, I'm not trying to pass them off as the real deal, so everyone can relax, if I had $5000 to spend on 19" LMs i would've :) but i plan to get Don's turbo kit with the first 5-7k I save instead, and also KW coilovers.

serial gixxer 09-23-2012 10:59 PM

LOL. I viewed this on my phone and didn't notice the centercaps.

master345 09-23-2012 11:11 PM

This looks great! I am sorry to see complaints about little center caps!

JoeBoxer 09-23-2012 11:17 PM

Perfect fitment I wish I could've got this color since everybody seems to have gotten whiteout. Looks great I'm saving up for kw's and turbo kit also my rims and springs are keeping my happy for a while. Nice touch with the gold lug nuts too.

Spartan65 09-23-2012 11:36 PM

Well I'd have to say that fitment give the platform a Big Boy stance and appearance, I appreciate that it's not Hella Flush, in the weeds or any of the other terms that I am not a fan boi of.
My hat's off to you sir, you are an innovator.

sandman126 09-24-2012 12:13 AM

Looks sick, those wheels look so right on that car IMO

Thanks, glad you like it, I'm not much of a hella flush fan, I need something drive-able since its my daily driver, the dealer I work at is next to a Porsche dealer and I see those 911 turbos with 19" and their fitment looks so perfect, so I tried to get a similar fitment with 19", overall I'm happy with it :)

Jimbo 09-24-2012 12:23 AM

Too large for my taste but nice style wheel.

Isn't that exactly what you're doing with the centercaps?

I like the wheel but the car either needs a larger drop w/coilovers or smaller diameter to be

Well if I were trying to pass them off as LMs i would've titled my post "BBS LM" and never mentioned that they're replicas, and I do agree it needs to be lowered a bit more, but I'm worried about rubbing issues :o

dori. 09-24-2012 02:23 AM

ehh ok.

but I doubt you would rub if you lower it more on coils

JoeBoxer 09-24-2012 02:33 AM

I don't understand the negative posts i think it looks great probably one of my top 5 non shop cars i've seen on here. A few suggestions though, debadge the subaru and brz emblems and either a shorty antenna or shark fin.

There's negativity because it's misleading. If you want/can only afford replicas, be proud of what you have. Don't put a sticker on that's faking it.

It's like the 86 with Ferrari emblems on it.

JoeBoxer 09-24-2012 11:11 PM

It's nothing like that actually, 90% of people can't tell the difference between real LM's and ESM's. I think the gold lettering on the caps looks good with the gold lug nuts and as he mentioned he didn't title the thread as BBS LM.

master345 09-24-2012 11:33 PM

I too think this looks great. Nice job. I checked their site, and it looks like they only cost $185 for 18" wheels. I am thinking I might prefer the 18" or even the 17" on this car, but wonder what that might look like.

Is this considered a knock-off wheel? I wonder why people care one way or another. How many people really drive around a say, "Hey, look at that hot BRZ/Scion, but I hate the knock off wheels." Maybe 1 in 1000 guys? And do I really care what that group's opinion of our wheels is? (No!)

master345 09-24-2012 11:41 PM

Here they are on an NSX.

SilverSkyline210 09-25-2012 12:18 AM

all this bickering and debating about center caps is silly -.- its like going to the shelby cobra forums and telling the replica owners to stop "faking the funk" and remove their cobra badges, since its not the real deal...losing focus on purpose of this thread, I posted my car mainly to share fitment details of the wheels and how the car would look with this setup since no one has 19" with this width and offset

Does staggered set-up change handling at all?

Definitely, with stagger the rear end feels a lot more planted and less tail happy than stock, you can get on the gas a bit earlier too. Overall handling is still pretty neutral, no understeer, but my alignment played a bit part in the handling too, I got -1.0º camber up front with whiteline camber bolts to increase front end grip during corning, since the rear end grip was increased with wider tires, just trying to keep it balanced

Superhatch 10-01-2012 08:26 PM

255! Good lawd! I hope you are planning on putting down some serious power in the future!

I like the wheel, but the 19's are a bit to much for me I think. Even lowered it still looks high for some reason. Thanks for posting! Always interested in new wheel combos and seeing them on our cars.

Most definitely will :) I got plans to turbo, and actually I wanted to go 265, cause I dont want any tire stretch at all, but 255 was a compromise so it wouldnt rub or poke too much

swift996 12-18-2012 09:07 AM

Do they make the same width sizes in 18s? I couldn't find them on their website.

Sledge_Hammer 12-18-2012 07:46 PM

Sits to high with 19"s IMO... 18"s are a better fit fwiw

BBS caps shouldn't matter, if you can't tell real BBS from fake then you are a complete idiot.

I think the 18s only come in 18x8 and 18x9

yea definitely needs to be lowered some more, saving up for some coilovers as of now, thinking about KW V3 or Cusco Street Zero A... $$$ is the only constraint, but I have plans for this thing

thanks, and it drives great, it definitely handles nicer with more grip, but these wheels are a bit heavy, when i switched back to the stock 17s car felt a little livelier with the turbo, but it was more squirrely over 100mph, but its okay, i bought some new wheels, 18s this time, some legit work meister S1 3 piece :) hopefully i'll post about them soon

Vicsweet 10-22-2014 08:37 AM

So during these photos you were running on the h&r springs ?
Any running issues at all?

Ahh, sorry for the misinformation, i didnt update the description, i only uploaded the photos, but those 3 photos are with Air Lift Performance air suspension, and those were aired all the way out, i did my air suspension in May, but i dont post much on the forums anymore ;), those not so low photos were with H&R sport springs, which ran great, but they really weren't too low, like 1 inch, but it was comfortable and handled great. Air suspenion currently doing very well and handling super sweet

MadeInSweden 12-18-2014 07:12 AM

Car looks fantastic. A bit too low maby? ;)
