CyberFormula 09-22-2011 08:39 PM

Hey man.

Ya, Cyberformula like the anime.

When you going to LA show?

I haven't decided if i want to go, still going to school and have work.:sigh:

chaoskaze 09-23-2011 06:00 AM

I need to request timeoff 2 weeks before LA auto show. so let me know!

I'm just excited to see the subaru concenpt & meet up with awesome ft86 future owners on this forum. :happy0180:

CyberFormula 09-23-2011 07:27 AM

I'm actually trying to figure out how to get into the SEMA show this year.

I went to the website, and i guess the show is not "opened to the public"?

I went to the show once, but i got hookups to get in.

I want to go to SEMA, cause I wanna go try out the bucket seats, to see which fits best.

I remember checking out the Recaro booth like 3 years ago.

chaoskaze 09-23-2011 06:30 PM

Ya, SEMA isn't open to public but you can still walk around outside and see lots :w00t: stuff.

I went to sema last year & I wont mind going again ( I live right next to it, it's like 3 steps away) but I think LA auto show is where it really shines....since sema is all about aftermarket.

Or you can say I'm just in the mood for new cars This year. lol

CyberFormula 09-23-2011 07:19 PM

If it is a one day thing, perhaps.

Not really wanting to stay in LA for more than a day.

I do have that weekend off i believe, cause its thanksgiving.

chaoskaze 09-23-2011 07:58 PM

Wait thank giving is on the 18?.... or 24? No way I'm passing on my holiday pay. :bellyroll: & yes it will be one day only.

I'm thinking of going there on the 19th since that's when other ppl on the forum gonna meet too "

Why does US & canada have different thanks giving is out of my mind :/
--> from canada

CyberFormula 09-23-2011 09:26 PM

november 19th sounds good, its a saturday.

who else is going? just you?

chaoskaze 09-24-2011 07:11 AM

Yeap, unless somebody else from vegas shows up here before the date. ;)

CyberFormula 09-28-2011 02:57 AM

who's car you wanna take?

cause if we're using mine...i'm gonna use the Lexus RX330. drive comfortably.

NB86 11-28-2011 03:57 PM

Hey Vegas members. Looks like justa few of us are in Vegas haha

CyberFormula 11-28-2011 04:33 PM

HI ! :D

NB86 11-29-2011 03:34 AM

Have you guys been down to the dealership to find out about the fr-s yet? Just wondering how long the wait list might be.

CyberFormula 12-01-2011 01:28 AM

nope. I personally will wait for some time after it is out before considering one by the looks of the info we just received.

NB86 12-01-2011 02:39 AM

Same here, seems like I will have to pay up the ass for any decent options. Grr I was hoping to get this as a dd, w/o much work put Into it.

CyberFormula 12-01-2011 02:54 AM

the scion needs the TRD bodykit bad to look any good.

Interior and Specs are great...just the look makes me miserable to own it.

Gonna wait ...They ALWAYS do some sort of upgrades as time pass by.

NB86 12-01-2011 03:25 AM

I don't think I can lol probably will need a car by april but June at the latest, so I'm hoping options will be it's saving grace. Too bad we can't do a group buy.

CyberFormula 12-01-2011 03:28 AM

well, if you get it before i do , would like to see it for myself in the flesh

NB86 12-01-2011 03:34 AM

Yup Np will let you know once we get to see all the options, here's hoping for the badass trd kit and hopefully headunit upgrade.

CyberFormula 12-01-2011 03:44 AM

i prefer gauges...hopefully they'll have that as an option.

Verge 02-13-2012 03:53 AM

No, I'm around, but there isn't much to do on the local front until the FR-S and BRZ are released.

CyberFormula 02-18-2012 08:58 AM

Yep. I'm here

Verge 02-18-2012 01:28 PM

so ive been talking to the internet sales manager at findlay and he says not many people have put a deposit on the car. i was considering making one but without price im not sure if i should wait. especially since i would not mind waiting if i can get the trd kit a few months later. have you guys made any contact with any scion or subaru dealers in town?

CyberFormula 02-19-2012 08:59 AM

no contact with any dealership at all.
i'm waiting for a used one preferably. Everyone is waiting on the pricing, and if we'll get any type of options.

I'm hoping for a FRS with TRD aerokit (no wing), and HID. That's all i ask.
At a minimum, i'm hoping for HIDs. If not, I'm willing to pay 21k for this car.

2fast4you 02-19-2012 05:22 PM

I've spoken with Fletcher Jones Toyota twice... they aren't taking deposits until pricing is announced. The Scion sales team there is pretty bad, so I may go to Findlay.

Koji_Online 02-19-2012 05:26 PM

Vegas check-In; hey whatsup!
I've been to findlay scion a couple times & they've only contacted me to say that they finally received info that they will be receiving the car =p
Sales guy will call back when pricing is up & pre-orders are open

Verge 02-19-2012 09:38 PM

Sweet. I wonder if some sort of GB could be arranged

velocity 02-21-2012 08:42 PM

Checking in. I'm leaning towards a BRZ. I live near the Valley Auto Mall. I think they have pretty much every common brand except Subaru. :( At least there's Findlay Toyota

Verge 02-22-2012 02:34 AM

Yeah thats why im looking at the scion ... Tons of toyota dealerships everywhere

Rylock 03-21-2012 06:57 PM

BRZ potentially in Vegas Thursday 3/22

Just a heads up for everyone in Vegas...

I got an email from Subaru of Las Vegas stating they *might* have a BRZ on the lot tomorrow (Thursday Mar 22) around 11am for training purposes for the sales staff. I was told this because I needed to see if I could fit comfortably (height) in a BRZ before I'd put down a deposit or anything.

Again, I was told they might have one, not 100% for sure, but the way he spoke he was counting on it as he wanted to be sure I could make it.

CyberFormula 03-22-2012 06:50 AM

lol, i might go down there..

Koji_Online 03-22-2012 02:07 PM

check in @ findlay toyota; $500 deposit placed for 6MT Color: Firestorm =p
Im gonna head to subaru in a bit so I can hopefully sit in the car haha

Verge 03-22-2012 03:43 PM

Will it be there this weekend? Also what are your thoughts on the pricing. wanna know what the locals here think.

Verge 03-24-2012 03:16 PM

Did you guys take any pic of the car?

Koji_Online 03-24-2012 06:51 PM

Hey Verge, I wasn't able to make it out there when it was supposed to be on display briefly; so no pics.

As far as pricing; I was pretty much expecting $25k, so having it right under with DFP is pretty good haha

Verge 03-25-2012 12:31 AM

Yeah personally pricing is what i expected but the options arent base for 25k is kinda hard to see but i will wait till test drive. Maybe we could do some gb for jdm stuff if options arent what we want.

I just placed my deposit now too. It's $1000 now due to "high demand" which I don't really mind because it's refundable. I asked the person I was dealing with if there were going to be any markups and he said there wasn't going to be any because of Scion's "pure pricing." He thought Pure Pricing meant the price on the official Scion website is the price you pay, however, that's really not the case. So I don't know how true "no markups" will be but we'll see. At Findlay in particular, they already had 10 people place deposits.
