Interesting...we did notice the potential of open space in front of the engine during our test fit. We have to wait until SEMA?

VSGTS14 09-12-2012 06:21 PM

looks like it's similar to p&l's turbo kit.

Best place to mount turbo with equal length manifold.

indeed. i read an article about positioning of a turbo and angle and how it affects oil through it and the wear on the bearings. it was in modified mag. good article. they shouldn't be tilted more than 15 degrees i believe it said.

my contact stopped updating me. He said they were focusing on other developments (mainly having issues before SEMA on finishing the aero on their car). I'll have to see if I can dig up any updates from him later this month. He's extremely hard to get ahold of.

Acree 02-13-2013 02:17 AM

Lol no details or concrete evidence. Maybe the turbo was taped...

From what I've been told, they have decided to pursue other options. I'm taking this as they decided to move on to other projects as they missed the action on this platform. That's now what I was completely told though, just my take on how to translate the conversation I had.

N1 developed a turbo kit for their own STi swapped FRS for SEMA:

http://www.ohdamn.co/wp-content/uplo...1/IMG_0736.jpg

Since SEMA, the folks at N1 have been busy filling orders for the GT aero kit for customers and continual development for other composite items for race teams around the world.

A turbo kit for the FA20 motor will still see production, later in the year.

usptwins 04-10-2013 09:25 PM

This is an FR-S/BRZ forum... i would think if they don't really have a kit for the FA20, then they should at least sell a kit that people can buy to do motor swaps.... Just sayn...

So ..

1.) Swap your brz/frs with a STI engine.
2.) Buy their turbo kit.

Ummmm:iono:

usptwins 04-10-2013 10:48 PM

Thought this was an FR-S/BRZ forum for developing parts for it? Hell, if they don't have a turbo kit for the FA20, then might as well sell a swap kit for subie engines.... smh.
