Hey guys,

Just running a quick survey and sending the results back to the office. What types of colors do you want to see on the FR-S?

Based on what we were told about Scion production colors: The vehicles are limited to the colors that are available at their plant of manufacture. Since this is a world vehicle, there may be some exceptions to the rule.

There will be 7-8 color choices (not including the Release Series).

Which Toyota/Subaru available colors would you use for the FR-S? Repost the whole list with your preference of paint color code or paint name (and vehicle it currently exists on).

Red: Monkey-butt Red as per the first concept
Blue: Subaru World Rally Blue
Other: High Voltage 5A3 (Yellow on the 2012 tC RS 7.0)
Other: Darker version of xB's Army Rock Metallic 4V0 (since it's a throw-back car, an old-school color would be nice ~ example: http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Picture...983-280ZX.html )

How about some some goddamned interesting colours to go with an interesting car?

They won't use High Voltage, or at least they won't call it that. Whenever they do a Scion Release Series, they only do that color for that car and they promise the customer to never use it again. :iono:

I'd like to see Spectra Blue Mica brought back.

Agree on Matador on color choices... but change that "Money" Ass Red to Monkey Ass Red :bellyroll:

We joked about the RS 1 being a Panda edition (black sections, or TRD-dev'd CF panels). If the CF is too much, maybe just a performance upgrade pack ;) RS will likely be a end of model year launch to keep it interesting before the next model year comes in. We'll see what happens.

I want Aurora flare blue pearl. Sexiest blue in existence! But not a Toyota colour....

I have to disagree that "silver is silver"

But I also can't pick based on colors by looking at them online. As long as it comes in a nice silver I will be fine though.

Ok, I've gone through the paint codes, my favorite so far is torched penny from the '04-'06 Scion xB!

Out of Scion colors:
White: Blizzard pearl (070)
Silver: Classic silver metallic (1F7)
Gray: Magnetic gray metallic (1G3)
Black: Black sand pearl (2O9)
Red: Sizzling crimson mica (3R0)
Blue: Nautical blue metallic (8S6)

Other: Golden umber mica (4U2) I think this will suit the curves nicely from the current Venza.

You guys got it covered, but the colors I'm specifically hoping for are, in this order:

Super White - none of that dull off-white stuff and I don't like pearl white
Red/Orange Pearl - See "Pearl Magma Red" from 2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R
Bright Red - as close to the FR-S as possible
Deep Black - once you go black... you spend more time washing than driving.


+1 on the Panda scheme or package

Save the really crazy colors like Sunny-D orange for the RS so we can easily identify those that overpaid for show and no go.

I like a gray silver, not a blue silver if that makes sense. Like Nissan 370Z gun metallic. Although pushing the boundaries of the color silver, it's the perfect silver for me. :)

Yeah I think Sea1Monkey2 did a pretty nice job mocking one up in the 'Unmasking the Mule' thread. The idea of it being a dealer package is pretty neat.

Yes, the rendering is gorgeous! and i don't see why it couldnt happen, i mean, Scion has a nature of offering decal packages (tacky ones at that, but still) It would save me time and money on having it done aftermarket and then having to design and see what proper thickness and placement of the lines it should be.
Besides, who wouldn't want to see a Panda roaming the streets and just knowing where the car REALLY came from. It's like a salute to it's elders :thumbsup:

Silver and red aren't too good in scion, so I outsourced to Lexus... and found exciting mind blowing colors haha. Matador Red Mica or Monkey Butt Red is a must though. I hope to see quality candy paint in the production model.

Im going to be an oddball in this and hope that panda doesnt become standard Idon't wanna see 20000 tofudelivery frs allover the place bunch of posers trying tobe dori dori or Takumi. Leave the classics alone they're classic for a reason, wouldn't mind it if it was numbered edition like 1500 at most

As long as I get a nice bright yellow-orange I don't care what the rest of the lineup is. :D

Google images Holden poison ivy. That is the green I want! It's like a dark candy green, it looks so gorgeous in person!

A nice bold green. Similar to the Camaro. a snipit darker though

We had that green before, but they swapped it to this darker color. It's actually a fair bit darker in person. I like the lighter synergy green, it's nice and loud!

Scion Release Series vehicles are always in limited number. tCs typically come in around 2200 units, as does xB. xD comes in around 1600-1800. This is spread throughout the US and Canada.

Tell me what you want to know ~ I work at the dealer. I'm involved with Scion Corp. regional meetings. I was recently approached to discuss marketing outlets/tactics and future vehicle planning (mainly just suggestions of our outlandish ideas for the future of the brand).
