Google translation:

September 4, was held at the Fuji Speedway in "test rides & Briefing CAN-Gateway ECU", Toyota exhibited the "86 FACTORY TUNE 001". In the car fitted with a custom parts that are involved in the development team of 86, 86 FACTORY TUNE 001 is fitted with custom parts is aiming to launch at the end of the year. Say around the front and rear aero kit, as well as a large rear wing, parts that have been installed, the suspension is made by Sachs damper is being built.

In addition, aluminum BBS wheels are 18 inches made of the original design. Tires, only 86 spec and just announced today, Toyota Dunlop DIREZZA ZII was built.

Prices, etc. but undecided, there is also the fact that genuine custom parts, I'd look forward to its release.

Not really a fan of any of that... less is more, way more.

quik1987 09-11-2012 02:23 AM

dem brakes

Dark 09-11-2012 02:25 AM

Tune 001 looks pretty good except for the large wing, but it can always be removed. Hopefully, it will be brought to the US as Release Series.

mattles 09-11-2012 02:31 AM

Love those wheels. I need those wheels.

donutfilling 09-11-2012 02:39 AM

not badd

bestwheelbase 09-11-2012 03:05 AM

I love that wing. I love that wing. I love that wing.

All of this is fantastic.

speed3 09-11-2012 03:16 AM

It's just that damn awful aero kit they put on the aussie cars with wheels and brakes.

Just my opinion, but I hate it.

switchlanez 09-11-2012 03:23 AM

*Waits for a WRB BRZ Premium to be totaled to acquire wingless WRB trunk lid to drill for this wing* :p

Not for me thanks.

Bounce 09-11-2012 03:37 AM

So it's jut the aero kit that's already available plus rims + brakes?

cgrey 09-11-2012 03:45 AM

Ugly.
Tacky.
Pathetic.

switchlanez 09-11-2012 03:52 AM

^It's also one of the most functional kits out there.

Iixii 09-11-2012 04:40 AM

Doesn't cut it for me. I think 18 in wheels are somehow too big for this car. The wing, oh that wing, is just pathetic.

DaJo 09-11-2012 04:47 AM

Looks great!! The spoiler fits nicely on this car with the bodykit IMHO. (To those who think this spoiler is too big and pathetic; wait till you see the "BCL" one...:bellyroll:)

:scared0016:

cgrey 09-11-2012 04:48 AM

Maybe I'm missing the functional parts?

An "aero" kit that amounts to some nasty looking trim with a cheap badge. An oversized wing. Wheels too large for the car, serving no practical purpose. Brembo brakes for the red splash and name recognition. New tires and some vague suspension change.

I'd hope to see OEM quality improvements on a "factory tuned" car. The STi WRX vs WRX, or the WRX vs Impreza, by way of example. To me that's a factory tune.

This looks like the rice of the day special when what I really want is:

BAE 09-11-2012 11:35 AM

The wheels could use a little less offset.

ichitaka05 09-11-2012 11:40 AM

Isn't the aero is from Aus ver? So finally came to Japan huh?

Also Dunlop DIREZZA ZII has "86" in the side wall too. Cuz of that, I would totally buy it (I'm talking about the tires) lol

frsinpa 09-11-2012 11:45 AM

Just plain badass.. like it.

Turbowned 09-11-2012 11:47 AM

 SO MUCH UNOBTANIUM

Actually, I'm really not a fan of the look. Reminds me too much of the grossly over-kitted TRD Celicas from the Fast and Furious era. Brakes are overkill, wheels are "meh" and the wing, which would look good on a widebody or something, is too much on this car. Especially if it still only has 200hp.

Kiwi 09-11-2012 11:50 AM

oooooo me like those wheels, tires, and brakes

Zagmeister 09-11-2012 11:51 AM

A true "Spoiler"

Yes, yes, and yes. I totally agree :slap:

Hanakuso 09-11-2012 12:08 PM

Sachs :drool::drool:

xantonin 09-11-2012 12:22 PM

This is the version I want and have been holding out for.

Can't wait to see it here in the US. If we don't, I won't be buying an FR-S for a while.

Stu baru 09-11-2012 12:25 PM

Definitely a look you either love or hate. Count me among the latter group. If it's your thing though, enjoy.

Spaceywilly 09-11-2012 12:27 PM

The body kit writes a check the car can't cash... pretty much the definition of rice. Sorry. It looks good but without any performance upgrades it's a joke.

DantKR 09-11-2012 12:47 PM

I'll take the brakes... and that's it :x

sdlynx 09-11-2012 12:48 PM

Other than the wing, I think it's not bad! As for the brakes, as many testers have noted, it's much needed.

However, I'd really like to know what tuning they did.

Tanuki 09-11-2012 01:02 PM

Looks too much like this for me:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...004GTS-AP.jpeg

BUT I want the brakes.

Upgraded brakes and suspension isn't a performance upgrade?

ParangWala 09-11-2012 01:23 PM

I would also like to know what those wheels are...

Tanuki 09-11-2012 01:25 PM

I really don't think I will ever care if they have forced induction. I think this is cool, but I hate most body kits.

WindMeisters 09-11-2012 01:36 PM

Pass....(except for brakes, maybe suspension, but would need to see spring rates)

BioRage 09-11-2012 01:37 PM

Wonder if it'll make it to NA, to be exact, Canada.

Lol, that wing carries it's roots from the celica GTS!

SkAsphalt 09-11-2012 01:43 PM

So what level of performance would the car need to have to not be qualified as rice? a 250HP FRS could put hurt on a 350z and challenge a 370z on the track. so would a bump in 50 HP do it for you? In that case, my car should be fine for this body kit and not "ricey"

BTW, this isn't "rice." Making a car look better without adding speed does not equate to "rice." Never has, never will.
