Ready for the great wheel database. WedsSport TC105N 18x8 +42 245/35/18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport H&R Super Sport Springs http://brz.ridedomain.com/driver.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/passenger.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/front_driver.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/front_passenger.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/rear_driver.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/rear_passenger.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/front_wheel.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/rear_wheel.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/wheels/wheels_1.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/wheels/wheels_2.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/wheels/wheels_3.jpg http://brz.ridedomain.com/wheels/wheels_4.jpg |

35 obviously
should be a 35
Yep, my bad. I edited it.
Hows the fitment? Any rubbing in the front?
Definitely no rubbing. The front offset is perfect to the fender and I can fit a finger between the tire and the strut housing on the inside. The rear is a little tucked in since I went with a square setup. I am considering a 5 to 10 mm spacer for the rear.

who needs coilovers when all you need is springs, save $$$$
Thanks for the post. I'm glad you threw on 245s because I have the 17x8 version of the TC105N coming and its hard to find a variety of 235/40R17 tires.
This is the EXACT combo I was going to be doing. Great minds think alike I guess.
Have you weighed the tire and rim? My guess is 39 lbs total, 3 less than stock. Awesome considering the size difference. How do you find the performance of the tire. Any complaints or comments. Given the choice, would you choose this combo again? Thanks for the post! |

Thanks for the props!!! Added to the Wheel Directory: http://tinyurl.com/86wheels |
Awesome look. The wheel I'm most seriously considering for my BRZ is the TC105N in 17x8 because of the amazing weight. I'm curious how much difference your lightweight 18x8s made to your ride. Do you feel more responsiveness? Can you feel more power making its way to the road? Thanks in advance!
Looks great. Wheel weight?
I'm not sure what the exact weight is, but I think it is 16 to 17 lbs. I don't know that I feel any difference in responsiveness, and you definitely won't feel any more power making it to the road.
Looking good! ;)
Dayum, looking at these rims, haven't bothered to look at tires yet. How much did this setup cost you?
The setup was about $3000 mounted and balanced. I swapped my OEM TPMS sensors over to the new setup.
These look pretty good in 18"...wonder when my 17x8 ones will show up.

18x8.0 WedsSport TC105N on DGM (comparison to OEM pic)
- 18 x 8.0 +42 WedsSport TC105N's in Titan Silver Metallic, 16.1lbs ea
- 225/40R18 Dunlop Sport Maxx RT (Max performance summer), 21.? lbs ea - McGard Spline Drive lugs, ~.3 lbs per corner - ride height gain is 6mm, overall tire is slightly taller (24.7in vs 25.1 in) for a -1.8% error (60mph -> 58.9mph) - stock 17x7 w/Michelin Primacy is about 40.7 lbs/corner, this setup is approx 37.4 lbs (calculated, not weighed). http://i.imgur.com/rhoVWpA.jpg |
love em!
I love these wheels but I will be getting 17x9 square set up.
Those wheels are gorgeous! Hmmm, now I have to see if they come in 17X7 inch versions..
Nice choice!
Love the titan silver on DGM

Just curious. I'm more into road course, and I've noticed the auto-x folks tend to choose much wider rubber. |
are you sure about that tire weight? Seems REALLY light for 18's

I also read it somewhere else that corroborated the number. Can't remember where though. The Weds + Dunlop wheel is noticeably lighter than OEM when I pick it up. |
Absolutely gorgeous set you got there
Let me know how you like those Dunlops, they look great but the treadwear rating is a little low for my daily driver but everything else is impressive. Needs a little drop now, some coilovers could save you a little weight too...
Nice Brakes too! |

I did over drive the tires a bit this weekend, pushing them to test limits while I was seeing where my own limits were. Managed to cup the edges on the front driver's side. The brakes are insane. Eye popping. On those dunlops, on my best lap (according to Harry's Lap Timer) with the AP kit I hit a sustained 1.2 G's of lineal deceleration. Also multiple data points of 1.02 to 1.06 lateral G. Fun weekend. Edit: Went flower picking off turn 7 at the track. This little slice of nature hung on all the way back to the paddock: http://i.imgur.com/s2lj18p.jpg |
Installed mine recently, and I'm loving the slight color change from silver to titanium in different light conditions. Wrapped in Michelin PSS 225/40, still on stock suspension/alignment settings.

Love the pics. Any problems with vibrations with using the center caps and foregoing the hubcentric rings? |
None at all in the 8 months, 8k miles, and two rotations I've done in the garage. I just torque them to spec in a star pattern while the wheel is off the ground.
