Five:Axis Thoughts...?

4 Attachment(s)
"First 86" with 5-piece Five:Axis kit and Gunmetal S7:F wheels. Thoughts?

digital_assassin 09-10-2012 12:37 PM

Nice. The color matches great

Now you just need to lower that thing. Post up in the Five:AD Edition owners thread. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12009

deucethemoose 09-10-2012 01:32 PM

What is with the Y on the fender?

Davyator 09-10-2012 01:34 PM

The "Y" represents BYU or Brigham Young University.

SubieGuts 09-10-2012 01:42 PM

The design of that wheel is killer. Matches great, but for some reason I need to see those wheels in a flat black. Still pretty sick though. I'm sure the overall effect is much better in person.

Turbowned 09-10-2012 02:29 PM

Looks good, just needs lowering springs and bigger exhaust tips to be perfect!

TOYSTRY 09-10-2012 07:29 PM

I think those rims in silver look better on the pearl - the gunmetal look too dark IMO (and i love gunmetal rims). I think it there were glossy gunmetal they would look better. Silver FTW.

Tanuki 09-10-2012 07:52 PM

Needs fog lights.

very nice ! :happy0180:

just86 09-10-2012 08:21 PM

i prefer the silver s7

genometuning 09-11-2012 12:54 AM

Lookin good! :)

Killerbee 09-11-2012 03:42 AM

Love the color and the Kit, but dont like the Wheels.
However, first FR-S I see where I dont think you have to lower it. Looks good as it is in my opinion

alex86 09-13-2012 09:28 AM

i love it!

Xanatos 09-13-2012 10:22 AM

Needs more pics! :coolpics:

How much tint do you have on the windows?

ekset 09-13-2012 07:43 PM

Nice! First Whiteout FR-S I've personally seen with this wheel/color combo for the Five Axis Edition setup. Looks awesome!

Mr.Jay 09-13-2012 07:54 PM

Saw this combo on a Silver FRS and I must say that it looks better than I thought but the 5Axis kit is not for me. Makes the car look too muscle like to me as oppose to sleek and lean.

Deff caught my eye tho

domsawww 09-13-2012 07:55 PM

i personally just dont like these tape on style kits. At first i really liked this kit but the more ive seen pics the more it just seams stuck on and out of place (just my opinion). If you like it then its the shiz right!?

tnt 09-14-2012 08:42 PM

Just got mine installed and I love it ! Looks better than in pictures. Will post pics later :D

The lip kit looks great in person, i might say!

import_bible 10-19-2012 05:06 PM

Looks pretty awesome, pretty much any color wheel (minus some shades of white) would look good on white.

PhastekSport 10-23-2012 10:18 AM

Can someone confirm that the paint matching on whiteout looks better in person? All the pictures I've seen make it looks like two completely different colors.

I do realize it's a different material, but still...(is it the angles?) I'm wondering if I need to get these items paint matched locally or not.

Thanks.

CaptainSlow 10-23-2012 02:05 PM

Not really a fan of the wheel design, but that's obviously subjective.

I'm also not really a fan of the Five Axis kit as a whole, but I do like the little lip spoiler.

For what it is (considering I'm not a fan of either styles), I think it looks pretty decent on your car.

Demandred7 10-23-2012 02:38 PM

I have seen the 5 Axis kit (albeit with different wheels) and it makes the car look much bigger and beefier. Also, because of the ground effects, it gives a lowered "appearance". I am kinda torn between liking it and not liking it. I like the lowered look and the spoiler. Not crazy about the price.

RandomFRSguy 10-23-2012 05:54 PM

Been planning on doing this to my whiteout. I just don't know tho, I think I would get them and paint them black to match all the other black accents tho.

Still sick wheels, Love them.

I'd just want the lower portions to be black... Not all the way up behind the door.

What's your opinion though? The paint match doesn't seem to be spot on with whiteout?

RandomFRSguy 10-23-2012 08:50 PM

I'm not quite sure what you mean, I was refering to painting the wheels black. I personally think the dark grey kind of looks out of place cuz its so close to the black in shade. Don't get me wrong its still nice looking the way it is, I'm just always looking for ways to improve. :bonk:

PhastekSport 10-23-2012 09:25 PM

Oops thought you were talking about the kit. Sorry.

Please post pic when you are done ... I would love to see how that looks. I wanted my wheels in black but only gunmetal and silver was available

RandomFRSguy 10-24-2012 02:33 PM

Oh I don't even have the wheels on mine, no money for that right now

Is anyone here skilled at taking the posted pictures and photo shopping the rims in black? I would try but i'm terrible at it.

Ash 11-06-2012 12:00 PM

that is beautiful. exactly how i want my 86 to look, great work!
