They suck on most imports, but I have to admit on those last 2 pics they look at home.

haha honestly I want it bc I think it'd be practical .. I've scuffed my shoes on the door so many times getting in and out it makes me sad to think about .. Need to wipe the side again lol
with these lambo doors I can just open all the way and then slide my foot out without hitting anything .. now the question is would I hit my head on the way out hahaha

Not bad. The FRS and BRZ actually look good enough so that if someone didn't know how much this car was they could believe it coming with lambo doors from the factory. I could see someone seeing lambo doors on an FRS and being like,"Yeah, I can see that happening." I certainly wouldn't be impressed because I haven't been impressed by lambo doors since 2002. That is a funny picture though. Just so happened that someone has a civic with butterfly doors next to a Lambo.

its not my cup of tea....i've been in the industry since 99 and trust me it was popluar back then...

but back then I didnt want them and I sure dont want them now...but its your car...do what makes you happy :D

curious, why don't people like them? I like the idea. the point of customizing your car it to make it better/faster or different/interesting I think this is a very interesting unique mod that is fun to see when people do it. Is it just the weight issue? or is there something else I am missing?

Different strokes for different folks. Don't listen to the people here, do what you like, you only live once.

Because people think of it as Rice, and should be left to the original creators.

I.E Audi LEDS on other cars other than Audi's, etc.

They function differently. Lamborghini's scissor doors open on a single axis. This is very strong. You can open those doors on a windy day. Vertical door kits have to open out to clear the roof and then swing up. Weaker. They wobble in the air when you get into the car. On a windy day, you're better off just opening them normally.

Additionally, you have to cut into your fender to weld these to the unibody. There are much better ways to spend a couple grand.

hmmmm.... never thought of lambo doors as rice, always thought it was too expensive for a kit to be considered that. but that was back in the day when i looked at them they were ~$1200? overly flashy, yes. but far from most cheap shit i consider rice

I never see them, maybe that is part of my bias. I guess all the pictures I see tend to be on finished cars, this is my view.

I also consider basically all the nicer cars in the "lambo door" search riced out. It pretty easy to get a loan in todays world :(

but my point is they are all finished cars. very, very flashy, but not thrown together over a day with some duct tape, unpainted bumpers, falling apart etc. Maybe my definition of ricer is different than most. just because its a modded civic doesn't make it a ricer *to me*.

Maybe, and I definitely agree that everyone can do whatever they want to their car. But a vast majority of people, including myself :facepalm: when they see them.

I agree. I doubt i would daily drive something like that. but I would be lying if I said I didnt like seeing well done imports at shows. sadly 99.9% of them I see on the street are utter trash. most people with the amount of money it takes to do it right just buy a higher class car.

Note the wobble when the door is up. It honestly looks cheap in real life. That's just with him climbing in and out of the truck. The Scion wobbles just opening it. And this is in their official advertising videos, so they're willing to let this quality speak for their entire company.

This is strong and secure. Even with a blown strut. Don't do a vertical door kit.

I have no interest in lambo doors but Aston Martin doors would be awesome. They open up just enough to clear curbs when your riding low.
