When the damper settings are set to their softest it is pretty close to stock, just a tad bit firmer. With the wheels the steering response is dulled downed just a little bit but the car is still just as fun. It's a small sacrafice to pay for the look I wanted to achieve. ;)

lol that was my original plan! Yeah I went to VisonR. It's probably easier to go and see Wei and have a chat with him. He's a helpful guy. Looks like a few members will be chatting with him!

These are the closest I have of side shots. I want to make the car lower but realistically it's not possible. If I go any lower I won't be able to easily get it on the hoist I have available. It's a PITA as it is at this height.

Yeah it does poke a bit at the front... I'm waiting to see what Mr Plod has to say about it...

fred_boosted 09-03-2012 03:44 PM

Looks great!

Are those wheels gun metal?

With the the poke at the front, how much camber are you running on this setup?

Lonewolf 10-28-2012 09:40 PM

Watch out for those curbs! I love the look of the wheels, but they are sticking out quite a bit past the tire...

Did you adjust to 30mm?

Moto spec is 36mm front and 32mm rear

stout90 10-29-2012 09:22 PM

you need more tire if your not going lower!

JesseE 10-30-2012 10:06 PM

Rota G Force 18x9 +35 Falken 452 235/40/18

Car is 100% stock other than the wheels so far...

Only put 10 miles on the tires on the way home from my shop and here are my reviews so far.

Tires are 235/40/18 Falken 452 300AA (measuring the actualy tread its about 250mm not 235... but whatever thats normal for brands to give slightly different numbers

Compared to stock michelan primacys these tires are very grippy even in the wet weather we have right now.
These tires create a but load of road noise but whatever.
Steering feels pretty much the same, maybe a hair heavier at the most, but hard to say in the 10 miles i've driven it

I will go for some Koni's when they come out but until then she will be riding stock ride height, and the front camber will make the tires look about perfect in my opinion.

So far no rubbing at all wheel locked both ways and over speed bumps... nothing

Anyway here is some pics

Two topics merged... same wheels/specs, but I gotta give some love to the gold/black combo!

I ordered mine about 2 weeks after Moto fitted his coilovers and I asked RS*R in the states for the same spec as Moto before the "Moto spec" was offered. I haven't adjusted anything as of yet. They are as they were sent from Japan. The approx 30mm comment is what the suspension techs told me when I asked roughly how much lower the car is but they didn't really measure anything. :)

Tyre width or height?

Either way it's not going to happen! ;P
Wider tyres will kill steering feel and heigher profile will kill acceleration and resposiveness and also add waaaay too much weight that I'm not willing to live with! lol

_F-R-S_ 12-26-2012 11:40 PM

You guys need coilovers.

I shall call it Frank.

Be it known, that henceforth, this wheel shall be referred to only as "Frank!"

I can do the other three, if need be.

Code:Red 10-30-2013 09:06 AM

Could be Rota G Force.

ft_sjo 10-30-2013 09:07 AM

Looks like a Rota Force Drift, however that's probably a replica of something else. Enkei perhaps?
