Sucks arse. Ahh well a few more days, not weeks like me. !!!

davey90 09-01-2012 07:50 AM

hey guys just updated, took me forever to get these photos up. family and friends calling me up wanting to see the car. My photoshop skills on the number plate is crap, just rushed it.

I had a big night last night, got a mild hangover...so i look F'ed up. HAHA! I'm actually over the moon, being really careful on the revs. Took me a few trial and error to figure things out in the car (IT's way of fixing things, ask st162celica, he'll agree ;) ).

Love the ride, almost got my car scratched by some crazy old lady whizzing pass me on a spilt lane (not sure if that made any sense). err....there is a funny metal or is it fuel sucking noise when you give it mildly heavy load sounds like it's coming from the back right side like "ting ting ting" something like that. It's not loud, it's slightlyl noticeable, very soft sound in the background.

Quick question, sorry for the long post, is the brake pedal supposed to feel a little sticky. like once you press the brake pedal down, then lift your foot, it takes like a split second to pop up, as in it doesn't push against your foot the whole time?

whyreeto 09-01-2012 08:16 AM

congrats buddy, anyways, that sound when accelerating, i suppose a soft rattle? i asked the dealer he said it was normal as the headers when cold would sound like this, but slowly if you notice, the sound slowly disappears when the engine gets hotter...so i guess it makes sense...for the pinging noise, i dunno what the fck that is, it only happened 2-3 times for me in 3 weeks, so i really can't reproduce it lol...

and yes, the break was screwed up when i got the car....but 3 weeks into it now, its ALL GOOD ;)! just step on it more and it would be fine!

congrats again buddy

davey90 09-01-2012 08:37 AM

ahh! Cheers @whyreeto

Yeah, the dealer said they did a light clean, as in cleaning off the sticker marks

17,940 Yen = approx Au$217 (excluding delivery)

Maj3sty 09-04-2012 06:07 AM

Congrats davey90! Mine's been pushed out to Oct build/November delivery.
But not long to go now :)

Hopefully just in time for a December meet, most of the people who pre-ordered should have theirs by then :)

Hey guys, quick question. Don't want to use up another topic for a small issue.

To the people that already have their 86/BRZ, do you have any screws or anything to fill up the rear 2 holes on the back of the rear wheel wall or is it fender wall (don't know what it's called) ?

so similar to this picture but for the rear wheels. i'm not sure if i am missing the screws or it's made to be like that...

Nardi330 09-06-2012 01:43 AM

sorry mate, can't see any pic so don't know what holes you are referring to.

davey90 09-06-2012 01:46 AM

sorry Nardi, browser was playing up. ;)

Nardi330 09-06-2012 01:53 AM

some of those holes on the rear bumper are not filled up on mine and i read somewhere here it's normal.

apparently they are mounting holes for mud flaps.

ahh cheers dude! I thought someone missed them holes, LOL! :thanks:

primetime 09-06-2012 02:06 AM

That's strange on my 370Z I have those same holes, but there were black screws in them already from the factory.

When I got the mudflaps fitted later on - the screws of course were used to secure them.

Maybe someone at your dealer pre-delivery forgot to put in the screws? It just seems odd to leave them as holes ...

Nardi330 09-06-2012 02:17 AM

that's what i thought initally but if all the other cars are the same then i have no complain.

every grams count i guess.

Stage 1 weight reduction!

Stage 2 weight reduction is removing the cigarette lighter and ditching the soccer boots you left in the boot.
