FR-S vs BRZ on Track Review by EverydayDriver
I think these guys did a really good job of describing the toyobaru. I really liked how each one preferred fr-s or brz for personal reasons and not necessarily technical difference (as much).
Hope you enjoy. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf-6rLVeR2o"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uf-6rLVeR2o[/ame] |
BRZ!!

Re-post? Good video just the same.

Sorry for the newb question (I haven't been able to follow all the threads here as much as I want to).
How does Toyota accomplish a more oversteer-happy car? * Stiffer rear springs and/or softer front springs? * Stiffer rear shocks and/or softer front shocks? * Stiiffer rear sway bar and/or softer front sway bar? * Alignment settings? ** A combination of the above? |

From what I remember, the FR-S has softer front springs with relatively higher damping than the BRZ.

Wow, interesting how the brz and frs represent different driving styles...
|
Sooooo long haired douche bags like the FRS?
I keed I keed. |

Hahaha! I think you can sum it up by their pants... Cargo Pants-FRS Slacks-BRZ |
I had a chance to drive both and honestly I did not feel a difference. Than again, im not a professional driver.

Uhh...I don't see how their comparison is even valid. Why couldn't they just compare both in 6MT? Without DSG, the auto can never match the engaging feel like the manual, not to mention it's not even a 7AT.
Personally I like the BRZ better. Not only cuz it's rare, but it just seems to be the entire brand and package offer more class than "Scion". |

Being that I was stuck to a auto, I've been looking for a comparo of the 6mt and 6at.. I know that a mt will be faster ... But then seen the better times of the two drivers and was shocked it was that close.. I was really expecting 7-10 seconds a lap.. Not down to just a second or two..
|
I have driven a AT version of the FRS, but not a MT yet. But it seems kinda like what I'd imagine with all cars. The throttle response on the MT will probably be better than the AT. You know, not having to go through a torque converter and all.
|
Love these guys.. I believe The BRZ is a nicer looking car, but I'm gonna have to drive both.
|
I'm surprised how different their opinions are about both cars. Very interesting video.
|
Yeah, really interesting, but in a totally good way. :happy0180:
