The talking head really should attend the Vana White school to learn how to properly move his hands when drawing the public's eyes to the key features he's mansplaining. :bonk:
At least the writers gave credit to the Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0
Now if you want a great model introduction video that was a good one.

Hell, all I gotta do is have my 2013 FRS painted yellow and I'm up to date for another 10 years -

I would very much liketo have one without body kit.

"Customers can customize their vehicle by adding additional accessories like a cat–back exhaust with GR logoed silver-colored tips, and a body kit to the Yuzu edition for even more self-expression."

I like it...Nice job.

I love loud colors.

jkamelo 05-07-2025 01:51 PM

So they brought back the Hakone and they've brought back the Yuzu (FR-S Release Series 1.0).

I'm very curious if they'll bring back my beloved Lunar Storm (Release Series 2.0) next...

ruturaj001 05-09-2025 04:58 PM

I put deposit on yuzu, I had one on Hakaone for almost a year but they didn't get the car. But yellow is more of my color, hopefully they get one this time.

If you were waiting on a Hakone for a year and never got one I would hope you would get dibs on their Yuzu, if they get one. The 860 total thing is tough, considering ~1300 dealerships.

If you really want one you may have to go looking

Yep, plus even fewer in manual.

I had to put 1k deposit at that dealership. Putting deposit at multiple places would have few thousands tied in waiting for a car that still might not arrive.

That was 2022 for me. By March I had deposits at minimum 3 dealers at once ($500 each) until I finally found a car myself in August. I had deposits with 6 different dealers all together across 10 months and none of them came close to getting me what I wanted.

Through May, the story was: everything was automatic. By summer the manuals came, but seemed like Toyota only sent them to the markup dealers. I got nothing good to say about the way Toyota does allocations.

I really wanted the high lighter blue GR, but once I found out you can't just go in and order like Subaru..........I end up just ordering a '23 red BRZ Limited manual.

I went Subaru route in 2022. Ordered my 2023 BRZ in March 2022, got it in September 2022. I was able to use Subaru VIP program and get it for invoice which was 2k under MSRP. I am not too worried about not getting yuzu but really want a yellow car.

The thrill of a new car is unmatched, but the price can sting. Car finance spreads the cost, with 90% of UK buyers opting for it, financing £40 billion annually. PCP offers flexibility with lower payments, around £250-£450, while HP guarantees ownership. Deposits as low as 5% and credit checks determine your APR, often 8-15%. Check https://car-finance.co.uk/ for personalized quotes from top lenders. Avoid traps like high interest or excess mileage fees. Choose a deal that suits your budget. With the right plan, you’ll cruise into car ownership without financial strain.

In yellow it is simply gorgeous

Yellow is a terrible colour for anything that can't hit the double ton.
Loud and obnoxious without actually backing it up with speed.

Would you say it's like putting a loud obnoxious exhaust on a 4 cylinder?

Nothing wrong with a yellow vehicle and you don’t have to be able to go STUPID fast to put a smile on your face!

Reminds me of the Scion FRS release series 1.0 back in the day.

Subaru has a Purple Edition, and Toyota has this one.

Hey, at least they're trying.

Lol.

Yes, we all have opinions, don't we?

Yellow is the colour of Pontiac Sunfires and V6 convertible Mustangs.

I just assumed he was a Republican senator since he's so concerned with the sexuality of cars and colors.

fredzy 06-11-2025 10:04 AM

I don't care if it's pink, lime green, puke yellow. Any car that is not grayscale is a good thing. I might not like it, but I'm happy it is there.

Tokay444 06-11-2025 10:05 AM

If it ain't white, it ain't right.

Kiske 06-28-2025 12:52 PM

The RS 1.0 had unique aero variation or the GT86/FR-S TRD kit.

Here the GR86 Yuzu has the standard TRD kit. A little less special.

That GR catback is $1,700 f*cking dollars. I was on Toyota's website yesterday pricing diff builds just for fun, looking at the options and laughing my ass off at the prices and that doesn't include installation for most of them.
