OR...or.... with unlimited funds, buy the necessary amount of Toyota GT 86 Limited vehicles from Japan, import them and run them through the necessary tests so all can enjoy the Toyota version in North America. Or paying Toyota to do it for you and bring the LHD version over here.

White64Goat 08-23-2012 03:40 PM

Cam sprockets and VVT parts...............

Bonburner 08-23-2012 03:44 PM

that trd seat is sexy
i wonder how comfy it is

eikond 08-23-2012 03:45 PM

I'd just buy the GRMN (Gazoo Racing) car as a whole and be done with it.

Justin.b 08-23-2012 03:55 PM

I don't really find that many shortcomings to be addressed. In this car.

I would buy another set of wheels and good summer tires, but still only around 215 or 225 wide. ($600 for tires, maybe $800 for wheels).

A set of snow tires ($800 total).

A good set of coilovers. ($2000).

Swaybars ($500?)

Good street brake pads ($200)

I may be tempted to get leather seats just to make it easier to clean up the dog hair ($1200).

I really like their wide body kit .. hopefully they toss it out in the market Lol

MannyO 08-23-2012 04:08 PM

To the tune of approx $800,000

Step 1: Buy 2 Lexus LFA's. One Slate Blue and one Blue Pearl.

Step 2: Swap LFA motor into BRZ.

Step 3: Swap fully built 2JZ stroker with T51R SPL or HKS GT 3037 into LFA donor shell.

636 08-23-2012 04:10 PM

Rocket Bunny bodykit, BC racing coils, Work CR-Kai 17x9 painted anodized purple, built internals, turbo kit...and call it a day.

http://bespoke.wpengine.netdna-cdn.c...-wide-body.jpg

thelegaCy 08-23-2012 04:11 PM

buy a lambo

wbradley 08-23-2012 04:15 PM

I'd like a performance built 2.5L Subaru boxer engine like my friend had in his modded WRX. It was ~ 500 hp.

Naturally it will be a need for bigger brakes, performance springs/shocks or coilovers, exhaust. Might as well throw in a CF hood and deck lid, 5A body kit, Recaro seats.

Not sure of specifics but no doubt we are almost into the cost of the base car all over again.

jadewbj 08-23-2012 04:21 PM

A 911. If not that I would say a supercharger, bigger/better brakes and all the bolt on to support it.

Yeah the LFA in the FRS would be awesome but, you would put a 2JZ in the LFA?

Is there even any weight savings in getting a CF hood for this car? The stock hood is aluminum already.

My thoughts exactly. I think doing CF or aluminium roof and boot lid might be better ... heck, fenders too.

.Alex 08-23-2012 04:44 PM

LS7 swap

Leonardo 08-23-2012 04:49 PM

Yeah there is weight to be saved by going CF. Just like a few other cars like the S2000. The only thing is you had to go big and buy the expensive dry CF hoods that would only give minimal weight saving, but it's still weight being shaved. I think a dry CF hood would benefit our car more from the venting

Sargy 08-23-2012 05:04 PM

Those seats

I can't see going to that extent to shave ounces. You'd probably save more weight by removing the floor mats.

I wouldn't either but the question was whether a CF hood would save weight or not. But yeah, there's way better items to throw out or replace before a hood for us.

Khalis 08-23-2012 05:29 PM

1LR swap

ST185RC 08-23-2012 07:14 PM

Unlimited money, I'd probably buy everything TRD and switch the lights and center console of the gt86 over to my car. The only thing i'd get not from TRD is a set of TE37 in bronze, 17x9 in the rear, 17x8 up front with et+35. Set of 245 rubber in the rear and 215's up front. Replace all body pannels with dry carbon fiber. Replace fuel tank with fuel cell, get supra TT fuel pump

Swap the v10 from an LFA into the car some how. I'd gut the rear and replace with a half cage for daily drivability and section off the trunk so if i brake hard stuff won't fly forward into the back of my head. The head unit will be replaced with a cubby hole, speakers removed with custom plates to cover the holes. I will also get a tree air freshener and lambo doors for the hell of it...

Fuel up on some jet fuel on the go!

You'll need a $30K gas cap to go with that
