Sun visor air bag warning stickers removable?
 

Are the yellow air bag warning stickers on the sun visors removable? They don't seem to want to come off easily. Anyone successfully taken them off?

Just want to get rid of the ugly yellow sticker. Most cars don't have them in the first place...

i always assumed they were made to be near impossible to take off. Every car i've ever owned has had them.

I use these that came with Perrin parts to cover the OEM ones up.

It seems they may be much more difficult to remove than I was hoping.

I successfully removed them from my Honda Civic years ago. The visors wore out and the replacement set I bought was for the Canadian market.

my canadian truck now has an insert there with reversible instructions that are in english and french.

i'd much rather have only sticker.

Readily available black felt matches the headliner perfectly. Cut to shape of label and glue in place with contact cement.

I believe some safety organizations (perhaps the EuroNCAP) penalize a car's safety rating if these stickers were "easily removable".

All cars are required to have those since at least 2003 and perhaps as early as 1997, so unless you're only interested in 90's (or earlier) vehicles you'll find these stickers in every vehicle.

Imho their main role is for manufacturer to not get sued for one of many dumb customers ignoring common sense & manual but wishing to put blame on them, like eg. case of "too hot coffee" that got spilled and caused burns while driving. With these they can say "we told you!".

Every car I've purchased since my 2005 truck has had them. I think it's one of those things that if you try to remove, you're probably going to regret it.

Does anyone know if the JDM or Canadian 86 sun visors have the stickers? Might be easiest to just order some from outside the US.

I have the JDM right sun visor. It has a small black label with japanese writing.

That sounds promising. Any way you could post a pic? Having trouble finding an image online.

Just send them to Sweidit and have them trimmed out in beautiful leather or Alcantara.

I'm pretty sure 99.99997% of my sales are a result of Facebook, lol. So while I wish I could get away from it... I can't!

Black felt over SRS label
 

Ordinary black felt really does match the headliner almost perfectly. The contrast in a photo is much more dramatic than the actual appearance inside the vehicle.

This is illegal. You will go straight to jail.

Am already on probation for cutting tags off of my upholstered furniture...




...just have to figure out how I can manipulate the possiblity of indictment to raise $1.5M, or more ;-)
