Not bad for a 10+ year old car

Would be interesting to see any other 2013's still with the original owners, condition and all.
|
Mileage though?
My FRS looked worse than that after just 4 years but it also had almost 200,000 kilometers on it by then. The 86 still looks new after almost 3 years but I have done about 25% of the driving. |
The car has 79,543 kms on it. Less than 50K miles.
Driven April 1 to Oct 31. And even then, not every day. Then there's the year it spent May onward sitting in need of a replacement blower from Japan. It has lots of small scratches and dents but still cleans up well. After watching a YouTube video of a guy in Japan with tons of GTRs in various condition I was inspired and painted, cleared and polished the front spoiler, which looked like it swallowed a fried egg after a fight with the pressure washer. Not perfect, but much much better. |

65,000 Kms
Year round driven. Few nicks and chips if you look real close but from 10 feet away still looks new inside and out. |
Nice! I have yet to see one of those on the road. My mother drove a '68 Cutlass convertible in the early to mid 70's re-painted dark metallic green.
Probably saw 3 or 4 GR86's so far though. Aside from Dadhawk, I'm probably one of the few holdouts. As a second car, the amortized cost per year drops every year. By the time I am ready to sell it, I am sure it will be sought after. I should probably make sure I can get the tuners info updated in case it ever needs to depart with its supercharger. |

https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143847 As far as my dealer could figure out there were between 18 and 21 Hakone edition cars sold in Ontario. Probably safe to bet a couple have been wrecked already so the odds of seeing one in the wild are pretty low. I know there was one sold in Stratford but I have not had a confirmed sighting yet. I see 22 Grs and BRZs almost every day. For a car that is so hard to get they seem to be freakin' everywhere. |
So far, haven't seen a single new BRZ. I guess everyone is willing to pay an extra $2K for a nicer front clip on the Toyota.

The London Subaru dealer has sold at least 8 last I heard a couple of weeks back . They had 3 in the showroom waiting for pickup at once at one point. |

50K mikes on my MY19. 40K is highway (MA-NY weekly trips for 2 years). Have a few dents from nuts. Other than that it’s great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
That BRZ looks like a show car. The paint looks good enough for a brochure!
Dents from nuts? That must hurt, sounds like a motorcycle gas tank. lol |

It really does! The only one day I forgot those falling acorns [emoji51] Want to get quote for a PDR (at least for the little big one on the roof) but have more of the very little ones. Annoying but enjoying my toy [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thought about the same thing but after watching several videos of non-professionals doing it themselves, I think it’s better to check with PDR shops.
I am also not sure about the shop since the dissemble several part to reach the dent. We all know once you take out one part you start getting unusual noise or fitting issues [emoji45] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

2017 with 105,000km. Daily driven all year round, rain, snow. Front PPF is pretty toast but the rest of the body is still holding up nicely. Hood and roof have a few small dings from acorn damage but barely noticeable unless seen in perfect angles/lighting. I polished it back in 2019 and applied a basic ceramic coating and finish still looks near the same. Will be doing another polish shortly to apply a new ceramic coating combo. https://i.imgur.com/JGTyBMf.jpg Cars not "clean" but still shows the paint has some depth and sparkle. That was after a week and a quick 4 minute blast at a coin wash. https://i.imgur.com/y4o2Jmc.jpeg |
There's nothing wrong if your car gets beat to shit, provided you had fun getting it there.
Garage queens are for sissies. On the other hand it's also good if it cleans up well. :) |
- August 2013 build date (2014 model year); owned new since January 2014
- currently around 158,000 km (98,000 miles); driven year-round/daily, a few road trips and occasional track days - original TOB surprisingly, but I have the new TOB and clutch related parts ready in storage when it starts to go - other than regular maintenance, the only major mechanical repairs have been rear wheel bearings around May 2020 and a new radiator 2 months ago. https://i.imgur.com/6EJm4PS.jpg |
Finally drove my '13 FRS with ~97k mi to the dump yesterday.
I had an old 36" Sony CRT TV that's been taking up space for years. I wrestled it onto the passengers seat for the trip. The car started beeping after leaving the driveway so I had to stop and use the seatbelt to strap it in. Delivery was successful. No tears in the seat fabric or scraped plastic fittings. A bit of dust that cleaned off adequately. Drove the car back home. Left the TV there. (disambiguation) |

When the F-RS was new, before all the mods there was an electric recycling drop-off at the community centre literally 1 block from my house. Loaded up the trunk with old computer stuff. The nice people there proceeded to unload my trunk, and when I closed it there was a nice deep scratch on the top of the rear bumper. Oops, why should they give a crap. Actually the morning I went to work after picking up the car I was parked next to the wall and came out to discover a roofing contractor literally covered the roof of my car with tar specks. Took it home and cleaned with tar remover, but from then on stopped being a perfectionist with the car. Glad it wasn't a $100K+ Porsche. |

Mine was a dealer demo that I picked up around July 14th 2012. She has about 111k on her now. Still holding up well besides some stains and a few dents. She is retired from track duty for now. Picked up the ST in 2020.

Here's my '12 aus-delivered GT. 2nd owner @ 13k kms, now done about 95k. Basically in brand new condition, save for a few exterior scuffs. Only had to replace a coil pack on cylinder 1.

Hey this is a game I can play!
-2013 FRS bought new in October 2013 with 300 miles (demo car) -56k miles -Yes, I did just wash the outside. It is due for a detail, but that might have to wait a few more weeks. -I try to repair paint chips (poorly) and it has a few dents from: ---closing the driver's door on a snow shovel handle (winter 2013) ---dealership probably leaning too hard on the left fender (spring 2014) ---a big rock on the highway hitting the hood (~2015?) ---an acorn falling onto my roof when I stopped at a stop sign for 2 seconds (spring 2017) ---something shot out by the truck next to me on my very last commute on I83, denting the left door and rocker panel. (Summer 2019) -been great, no major issues yet. Probably due for some major 60k mile maintenance this winter |
Coming up on almost 8 years(January 2015) and 1st owner but don't want to contribute to this thread just yet. Will let yall know in a couple years.
|
Next month is my tenth anniversary and at only around 65k miles, still going strong.

2013, 63k kms, not always clean, still my baby.
1 minor scratch on the hood when I caught a rock off a hwy truck, it has no dents or barely a scratch of my own doings. Just this summer a lady rolled into my rear bumper off a stop (she was proly looking at phone and lost touch of brake pedal WTF). She gave me a freshly painted bumper :D I don't need to go to super busy places, so its pretty clean otherwise. Inside is nearly as good as day one, some carpet wear on foot spots obviously. |

10 years of year round DD driving in Ontario.
By comparison, the Healey chassis in the pic was torn down for a full restoration when the car was 9 years old. ( Then it sat) https://i.imgur.com/X54Dz2O.jpg |
Are all the parts bagged and tagged?
By now there should have been some quantum tunneling. Really wish the twins were configured much more like the 18. That's gorgeous. |
How long have you been restoring the Austin Healey?

DD since 2013. Photos at approx 110k mi before I vinyl wrapped it in 2021. Religiously waxed, paint is still immaculate minus a bunch of small rock/sand blemishes on the front bumper that you can't see in photos. Drivers seat pretty worn out on the left side.

I LOVE that 1800S!! My brother-in-law purchased a '55 Austin Healey 100M last winter in Scottsdale AZ where they reside in the cold months. Previously owned by a gentleman who had it for a long time and raced it at some point. It has a completely race.built engine that probably an enthusiast for those cars would be familiar with. |
