TOYOTA emblem... JDM vs USDM
is there any difference between the JDM emblems and just ordering a set from the dealer? i want to swap them but 75+ for some JDM seems a little steep
|
JDM are made of recycled rice

Back in the 80's I heard people refer to Preludes and Civic sport models as "rice burners". I just figured people that felt that way deserved to get themselves some glorious GM vehicles :confused0068: Personally, I really like the short grain sushi rice and I love basmati. Taking the family out for Japanese tonight. Quote:

Interesting, you seem to think that the degree of 'kinda racist' is different between associating asians with rice and with constant kung-fu fighting? |
I'm chinese though
|
Can I just say "boom" now after that last post?
I am white, practice Tae Kwon Do, I do not associate any martial arts with race just like I do not associate liking Hip Hop with being black (I listen to a lot of Hip Hop and R&B. That new Frank Ocean album? Whooooeee!) |
I'm sorry, I must have clicked the wrong link.. -__- when did this turn into a race-topic? Let's get back to the OP

2012 Corolla Badge fits the front and 2012 Avalon badges fit the back!

This appears correct. I measured the front and rear scion emblems on my car. Then I went to my local Toyota dealership while they were closed and measured the rear emblem on the Corolla and the rear emblem on the Avalon. The Corolla rear is the same size as the front scion emblem and the Avalon rear is the exact same size as the rear scion emblem. I will be back at the dealership tomorrow to order them. LOL Thanks for the info. Oh yeah and I checked online at a toyota parts site and looks like they will be around $20 each. Alot less than getting the ones on Ebay for $75 to $80.

Positioned differently |

Most likely yes, the prongs will be positioned differently. I just planned on breaking them off and fastening them with the double sided emblem tape. |
Hoping to see and hear your results
|
the corolla part number is 90975a2003
|
This would be great if the prongs line up
|
well im very happy to say the the prongs do line up ! min are on and fit perfect
|
plus your only gonna have like 30$ in both of those badges

Thank you to all, your research efforts are appreciated

Would like side by side comparisons with real jdm badges
|
I like it. There is a piece that a Japanese company is selling which just sits behind the badge, and looks nice, but yhey want 100 bucks!! I was thinking of doing what you have done. The only differences would be a black chrome Scion badge and gloss black, not the carbon fiber. Although I might have to change my mind...

Is this cheaper than ordering through a dealer? 42 shipped is half the price of JDM
Quote:

Cheapest one i found online, i asked local dealer and the want 12.09 for the avalon and 45.00 for the corolla

Thanks for the heads up! And the links! Order completed
