We're very excited to officially release our first line of forged wheels engineered specifically for your 86/BRZ chassis. For over 13 years now our mission at APEX has been to provide weekend track warriors and competitive w2w racers with lightweight, durable wheels at affordable pricing. Our new line of forged wheels builds upon these principles, now enhanced with the benefits of forged manufacturing.

The EC-7R is packed with new functional and aesthetic features, and most importantly, they meet the demands of 86/BRZ owners. You asked for wheels with a concave face profile that still had the ability to clear the factory PP/TRD Brembo brakes without the need for spacers, and we listened.

These wheels were built to withstand the repetitive abuse drivers cycle wheels through on the race track. Many manufacturers rely on the word "forged" to imply strength when their actual load ratings are just as low as cast wheels. Our EC-7R wheels were designed from the start to have measurably higher load ratings so they don't just sound stronger, they are stronger.

That's an amazing price for fully forged wheels. If I hadn't bought the Gruppe-S TC-105x wheels one week before you released these Apex wheels, I probably would have gone with these instead. I love that they are natively hubcentric on the twins from the factory and are also compatible with OEM center caps. Truly the best OEM+ wheels on the market for the 86/brz!

They are great wheels in my experience. I've been beating on mine on the track since I got them and will add another.. oh.. 12-15 hours of track use to them in 2 weeks :thumbup:

I have some Apex cast wheels as well that I also like. I've been using both of my Apex sets over my several RPF1 sets lately.

You don't know how bad I want a set of those Black EC-7Rs in 17x9 +35. And that black friday price is pretty damn decent too :cry:

I wish you had EC-7R in 17x8.

The wife would kill me! But it would be nice to have some 17x9 wheels for track so I can run 245 wide sticky tires!

Same, the selection for 8” wide wheels these days is pitiful. (Not directed to you specifically @APEX Race Parts, the market seems to just be focused on 9”+ wheels.)

That's good insight to hear. From what we have seen for most markets, if a wider wheel can work as a direct fit or with very little modification, not all that many people actually go for the narrower OEM + option. I do see value in having a lighter 8" or 8.5" wheel if you're only using the car for street purposes.

Can't wait to see the VS-5RS on our Twin.. a fantastic looking wheel. I was in touch with Apex regards release dates, looks like late next year..

Any plans for SM10 in 5X100?

This is something that has been talked about many times, however I don't have any sort of concrete answer just yet. We do hope to produce a new Flow Formed wheel for this market as well as a few other JDM segments as our team's bandwidth allows at some point and the SM-10 design has been discussed. For any new wheels for the 86 or other JDM markets, we will be taking out time to ensure any new offering is feature rich, weight optimized, and competitive with the wide range of products already on the market. Nothing is set in stone just yet, but be sure to keep an eye out for updates!

Okay, It’s my absolute favorite design of yours (I have them on my BMWs) and I’m ready to buy a 3rd set of them if that sways any decisions [emoji6]

The only reason I didn't pick up a set of ARC-8 over the black Friday sale was because I was hoping the SM 10 would be available before autocross season starts.

They won't be ready in time for the coming season unfortunately. We'll be sure to keep everyone updated with any progress on this project. Reach out for additional updates at any time!

The brushed clear one looks sexy AF! Not sure if it’ll go well with a Black car but we will see lol.

Appreciate all the interest for the VS-5RS design. 17" fitments are on the works and expected in late 2022. We are still discussing 18" options though we do not yet have any sort of ETA. Stay tuned for updates!

Do you have the wheels specs and the suspension specs ? It looks exactly my tS except for the wheels.

I will be running CS this season for sure but I am curious how 17x9 vs-5rs will look on stock suspension since this is my daily driver
