Well really a subplot of my true favorite reality show that is this forum. Which is a subplot of the reality show that is my life. ... Is all of human existence a reality show for some advanced culture? Would that indicate that the true measure of advancement of a society is the complexity of their d-rate entertainment? I predict OP or some other first poster will show up within the next 24 hours with a link to some BS page and they will both be banned shortly thereafter. I'm psycho---Err psychic. |
In before spambot comes back in and edits the post to add some garbage penis enlarging pill or insurance for washer and dryers.

Spambot aside, I’ve never gravitated toward television, but I did used to enjoy BBC TopGear. These days I just listen to Timeline and PBS documentaries while I work. Ian of Forgotten Weapons is really good about putting out daily new content as well.

But to continue with the thread my favourite is the view out of the local cafe window while I'm having a coffee.
Profound huh? |
The subject of this thread is kind of like asking me to select my favorite colonoscopy prep.

I've pretty much written off all the fake "unscripted" scripted shows that are classified as reality TV.
I don't consider contest shows (like AGT) reality TV. Don't really consider Top Gear or Grand Tour reality. I used to watch "Ice Road Truckers" and "Deadliest Catch" as well as a few car build shows until I figured out just how contrived they are and couldn't take it any longer. Now about the only car shows I watch are Jay Leno's Garage, Top Gear, and Chasing Classic Cars. Shows where everyone is always in conflict or in danger of screwing up, or the boss is always yelling, I no longer have time for. Even shows like Fast N' Loud where at least at the end they've built something is no longer in my tolerance zone. Other reality shows where it's a bunch of "friends and relatives" that are always on the verge of killing/cheating/beating/yelling/screaming at each other is not even close to reality. No group of people would really tolerate that crap. Same for Survivor type shows. Most of the "contestants" couldn't survive their way out of an office building. |

Yes it's scripted and poorly acted but they are really doing what they say they are. I've learned things that my father didn't know and I wish he was alive today so that I could share it with him. |
