Philadelphia Meets
 

Since we have some time before this car comes out I'd like to gauge how many people we'd be able to round together for a Philadelphia meet. There are a number of places to hold meets in the Philly area and a bunch of places to take some good pictures at. Just post up with your likeliness in attending a Philly meet. We could it make it a routine thing, weekly or monthly. Whatever works!

That sounds like a great idea, any luck with it? I live kind of far away, but if you can manage to organize it, I will make an effort to attend a meeting. I was actually in Philly recently, because I needed to pick up some motorcycle parts that I purchased. It really is a beautiful town, and would love to visit again soon. Let us know if you have any success putting this together, good luck!

Good idea. I live in NY but I love Philly and it isn't too far.

I would be down, what about a meet at KOP? I live closer to Harrisburg but I do long distance driving for a living so travel doesn't bother me

If you have other suggestions feel free to add. I'd like to go up to the art museum for a shoot at some point but we'd have to meet somewhere else since some people may not know how to drive up to the top of the steps (hint; don't actually drive up to the steps :bonk:)

There is also the top of the Gallery parking lot.... We could grab some Chinese food for dinner as well, lol

I'm coming out of Lancaster so KOP would be a breeze. Plus its not as congested and the streets arent as shitty as Philly would be.
Anyone else on here reside in Lancaster that has a BRZ on order?? The dealership here is getting a total of 12(I'm #6) so just trying to figure out how many of those will stay local.

This all sounds great to me. Im getting my FR-S in early June (hopefully!) I am already really happy to see this big of a community and this much interest before the car is even out! Coming from a Celica to this is an awesome transition (for many obvious reasons) because of the great community of many interested, knowledgeable, and motivated people. It would be great to get a solid group togegher in Philly to take pics, talk cars, mods, and roll up to track days squad-deep! Lol.

too bad Hot Import Nights in Philly got cancelled....

I know, there really isnt much interest in performance cars in philly... mostly Crown Vic's with big wheels and pick-up trucks... every now and then you see the odd 10-year-old or 15-year-old civic with cut springs and a fart can...

Its gonna be up to us to build up this community, the interest is out there, it just takes a solid group and event to get a lot of guys interested. I deff. Think we can, when i get my FR-S it will be in the next few weeks.. ill post info on here and give people a chance to come see it to make connections...

We will for sure host a meet and greet for those who own, or will be thinking about getting an FRS / BRZ in downtown Philly at some point.
Location may depend on a few factors like time, convenience and activity (food/drinks?).

For now, I think King Of Prussia Mall area is a great place for starters because its safe, easy to get to, and a lot of people in the car scene are already familiar with meeting up there. Plus the fuzz doesn't seem to mind so long as no one drives like a lunatic.

Anyone want to say some point end of June?

Awesome. Hopefully i will get mine in the next two weeks... im wsiying on my salesman to call me back today actually with the official ETA. Im down for a meet at KOP, lots of space, easily found, and like Esoteric said, police are more laid back. How many people are getting a BRZ/FR-S in the area?

well my dealer just got 4 bra yesterday but said that they will not have another one for awhile and i know down south there is couple of brz coming in

I saw a Ultramarine 6AT outside of the Scion dealer in Springfield... looks like its for sale...

I'd like to join for a KOP meet. Won't be able to until early July though probably.

I got an ETA of July 2nd for my BRZ... I'll see what I can do on my side... maybe get whoever is interested. We may have different teams, but we could always collaborate for a show like HIN or something. Split whatever the winnings are, etc...

I am holding out for a supercharged or higher hp version in the future. I would like to come out and meet some of you and get some more perspective on the current version. I don't have a cool car to bring though just an old M3.

Oh I once was so in love with the NSX! After my test drive of the BRZ last night, I dropped in on a nearby Acura dealer to see the ILX in person, and saw this...

Sounds great, ill definitely be there in my baller-ass enterprise rental! Lol totaled my Celica so I am awaiting delivery of my Asphalt Grey FR-S! July 1st hopefully!
