Lol. BRING IT ALL STOCK. O:
Would be fun. :> Although I'd probably be the only female there. Unless.. a miracle happens. :) |
even if i dont live in socal anymore, i must come to this meet when it happens haha
|
how far south? im in valencia. I'm gonna have wheels on mine the the day i buy it.
|
I might have to go to Socal to even get the car. LOL. In that case, I will meet you guys as soon as I leave the dealership.

First meet. Just to get all those who have the car together. Month later see any improvements. Then every other month. Prob. Lol Plus I'll take a look around for some decent food places or a decent sized lot. If no food I'll call some gourmet food trucks and see if they'll come out. :> |
Toyota/scion san diego emailed me and my friend few weeks ago asking when they get the first batch of scion FRS if we can do a BBQ meet up again and his asking me if I can again keep my AE86 on the showroom. I'm going to post as soon as toyota/scion san diego emailed me when.

San Diego has plenty of nice places for a meet, Mission Bay, Coronado, Pacific Beach etc! ;) I'm waiting a couple of years but would love to meet up whether it's LA or SD. |

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/d...n/faff9105.jpg O yeah last time was on elcajon toyota when it just got remodel last 2008 or 2009, I remember the gen mgmt was the judge on the car show and I didnt enter but the old guy looked at my car and asked why I didn't enter and say for sure I'll win I told him my car is not a show car, he smiled and told me I can see that and ask for a ride lol |
Sweet! Did you happen to take any pics of the GT2000?
That jacket and hat is a bit on the bland side but it's better than nothing! All that work and they give you a Fan Mart issued windbreaker and hat! :bellyroll: |
There good eateries around there? O: Around my area we have all sorts of asian food but some of you guys might not like things like... Korean BBQ all you can eat or what not. Lol. I'd love to explore SD a little more though. :> We can have meets at different places! I've driven 4 hours to check out a meet in Las Vegas. Lol Not a big deal. ;p

damn I'll never drive more than 15mins for a meet, but back then my friend pushed me to go on this mitsubishi HQ meet on the unveiling of the new redesign eclips but I drove his evo. |

Ooo I'm liking that. Although, if you find a decent sized lot let me know! :P Date wise... I wonder what works best without having too many ricers. |
So I went to the Scion HQ in Torrance and apparently no one but employees can get in. :l So seeing the FR-S in person is out of the question unless it comes to your nearest auto convention.
|
Awww, that sucks. :(
|
I wont be buying at launch but would love to show up for a photoshoot

There was a rather large African American lady working the Toll booth. And I must say--she was not impressed. haha |

Newport beach would be awesome! great places to meet up and there will be some good photo op spots as well.
I will also be waiting a month or so after launch to see what type of suspension and turbo upgrades are presented. My buddy works for hotchkis performance so I am hoping he gives me the go ahead for R&D so I can have a incentive for picking up the car early. But I am down to roll anyway I just hope you guys don't mind a Z at the meet.(that is if I don't pick up the girl) |

Aside from that! If those who don't have the FRS/216a its cool if you guys bring your other cars or bikes. :> It'll be a private-ish meet with bunch of other people. :) AS LONG AS NONE OF YOU ARE RICERS. I DON'T LIKE TURDS DOING BURNOUTS AND REVING THEIR ENGINES AND BUMPIN' THEIR MUSIC. Oh, wait there's a police station there. So if anyone is being a turd you're more likely to get a ticket. haha |
If u wanna do an oc meet I say the district in tustin then tastea later:thumbsup:

But down to come down and meet fellow car enthusiasts. :) |

Hmm are you talking about the one near m&m donuts? |
How is Irvine Spectrum or the Little Saigon area these days? Spectrum used to be a good meet up spot back in the days.

I was there a couple times. Did you see the video on the facebook page that had the idiots who were revving their civic get busted by the cops? lol |
Quote:
lmao! yes, my coworker was there when it happened. but it was real welcoming and organized the first week or 2 but after that, the ricers got hold of it and cops started lurking around so people stopped showing. :/ It's sad to see a nice thing go because of a bunch of idiots are rev happy. |
I'd be down for a meet if it goes down at Toyota of San Diego!
Asian food sounds good. Convoy Street has the hot spots... Viet, KBBQ, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and random Asian cafes. Most are clustered together with small lots. But a few blocks down from the clusters is Yakyudori Yakitori which usually has a bunch of open spaces if we want to line up our cars. Best yakitori and ramen (plus happy hour!) in the area IMO. |

I'm a bit new to the "car shopping" experience. How much do aftermarket parts like those cost (rough range of prices)? I would probably copy you, minus the new seats. Also, a suggestion in SD is La Jolla Shores, and in LA area is prolly Venice Beach. Thank you! |
