A 250cc ninja will hang with it; pretty similar power to weight ratios.

a 250 would choke out around 70mph in 6th, but it would still take the BRZ in the corners, modern 250's are wicked little monsters in the twisties.

Eh, the 250 would choke out at around 90. I started on one, and that thing was slow, yes. But compared to a 200HP car, it'd probably have it up until 85/90 when it was topped out, haha. In a straight anyway, turns it would decimate it.

When I put my deposit down, the sales manager gave me the printed copy of this brochure. "Here, this is for you!" Yea.... $500 and all I get to show for it now is a 12 page brochure... gonna keep this one around with the car (when it finally comes) for the longest time though!

Like I said, totally gonna rip the BRZ. Personally, I want an R6 at some point.

My brother-in-law has a Ninja 250.... I had way more acceleration than he did... and I was keeping it under 4k rpm, lol....

We both got on the highway and I left him for about a mile, but he caught up when I hit traffic...

600cc would be a different story.

"Engine delivers peak torque quickly over a flat torque curve"

Hmmm. did they add some accessories? I don't remember seeing the sub woofer last month... or that the navigation system was standard. might be wrong though

Infernal 08-15-2012 04:49 AM

bikes will always be more fun than cars - no wheelies in a brz :P

huh? every USDM-spec BRZ has navigation standard... it's one its major selling points

sbxjap 08-20-2012 04:55 PM

okay... so I'm positive a Ninja 250 can't catch up to us, lol.... I tested with my brother-in-law... he was going 90mph, full throttle AND I was still pulling away in 5th gear... he swears I had to be going 100-110mph. I only slowed down so he could catch up and cuz my wife was freaking out that her brother was doing turns so fast to catch me...

This was last night, leaving the theater after seeing Expendables 2, around 2:45am.

His Ninja 250 was bought brand new last year.
