JUST KIDDING. That being said I have ordered probably close to 2k worth of stuff from ft86sf. Last order I forgot to order something small so I contacted them within an hour to see if it could be added on to order/combined to avoid paying for shipping 2x, they said no. I asked if they could maybe refund shipping or provide a coupon and the answer was also no. I haven't ordered anything else from them. Orders did come quickly and seemed brand new. |

Very likely they have never even opened the box is was packaged in from the manufacture. Most body kits come unpainted, as long as it is undamaged I don't get the issue. It's not like I haven't had complaints about them on this board, they have actually improved significantly over the past couple years.

I heard some mixed feelings about this supplier, but overall they were good. FT86 Motorsports, their Canadian counterpart, is an hour away from me. I'll stick with them. Always preferred face to face interaction. |

FWIW I've bought a lot from FT86SF with mixed results.
Two bigger complaints: I bought Valenti red/red tail lights from them that were supposed to be authentic. Now FT86SF sells them as Valenti "style". Same SKU, exact same product. How do I know? Because I bought them before and after. They were selling reps as authentic the whole time. Exact same story with my Five:AD trunklid spoiler. Sold as authentic, and later changed to "Five:AD style". It was never a genuine part, and Five:AD confirmed this. I don't think FT86SF is full of terrible people or anything, but I'll shop elsewhere first if I can. |
I’ve placed about 15 orders combining for around 4-5k$ most of the time no real issues.
But At least 3 times i was missing install hardware, once i reached out they did sent out the hardware but i had to wait for shipping so couldn’t install when initially planning to. Once i was missing the install template but I didn’t really need it to install so not a huge deal. A few times i ordered something showing in stock to find out it wasn’t. They canceled at my request no problem. I ordered a product that has manufacture lead time but after 3 months of contacting them every 2 weeks and no progress being made I cancelled. No issue with canceling but i then ordered it from RHDJapan and they had it to me in under 30 days. So didn’t seems like ft86 made any effort really. A little hit or miss but they usually make things right in the end at least. I’ll continue to order from them when they have the cheapest item i want, which with 10-15% off discount codes all the time they frequently are. |

I've never really had many issues with them before. Although I have begun to source more from JapanParts.com because despite shipping, things can sometimes be cheaper.

Not sure what's going on with JBauto/Ft86SF but I've never had any issues with them until this week.
I ordered a fuel starvation door and a full blown fuel pump on Monday. Both listed in stock and said would ship within 24 hours. The starvation door made it here within a couple days but I've received nothing in regards to the pump. I tried calling them many times and nothing. I emailed them on wed using their website customer service form and nothing. I just submitted a second email and saw their fuel pump stock is down to 3. When I go to look at my invoice it doesn't even list the full blown pump on there. I'm going to give it a couple of days and then notify my credit card company to do a charge-back. Unfortunate if it has to come to that but I mean come on, how is this any way to run a company. They (I'm assuming intentionally) don't even list their phone number on their website. |

I ordered the fog light kit, parts trickled in, no switch. I could not find a phone number but sent four ignored requests through their webform before they claimed they never got any of them.
I provided the autoresponders and canceled the switch which came in 2 days from eBay. I'll not be using them again. Sorry I didn't use caps. lol |
When you place an order the invoice email they send you has the contact email for any questions, concerns, or issues. I have always forwarded the invoice email in regards to the order i have a question, concern, or issue with to that provided email and have always gotten a response with in 48hours not counting weekends or holidays. Have done this dozens of times no issues over 2+ years the most recent was 4 months ago (so maybe covid effected this). Not one issue contacting them. It’s also wise to contact any company with at least 2 full business days remaining before a weekend (so before Thursday unless they have different days off) or holiday so it doesn’t get lost in hundreds of unread emails over this time.
Wonder how many of these complaints are user error, or not reading or understanding the add/product for sale properly. |

I recently ordered an exhaust from them (July 4th, and yes it said it would be 11 days to ship from factory) but I emailed them because I forgot to put the 10% off sale code into my order.
I got a response in less than 48 hours but instead of addressing the 10% off code, the person who responded gave me an estimated delivery date (august, which I'm okay with) and apologized for the time frame and offered to put my money towards a different exhaust... to which I replied "i'm just here for the coupon, i'm fine with the wait". I got an email back in less than an hour for that one apologizing for not reading my email, making assumptions, and confirmation that I'd get the 10% refunded to my bank. Sure enough, it happened. Can't wait to get my exhaust in August! Thanks Covid! :) (I wrote all of that to say you catch move sales with honey than you do with complaining and non stop emails) |
Just a quick update I guess..
The FB Walbro pump setup I ordered on July 6th which said it was in stock has yet to arrive. I sent two web form emails and finally got a reply on July 14th saying "We just got the pumps in yesterday. We should be shipping everything out by tomorrow." (July 15th). Here I am a week later with no tracking via email or on "my orders". Now I have to send yet another email and wait 3-4 days for a reply on that. UPDATE: XdjlX reached out rather quickly and looked into it. My order was set to drop ship from full blown but they apparently have not shipped it yet. Ftspeed now has their own physical stock of FB pumps in and will send me one of those if FB can't get it out soon. |
Quick update on my order from ~midnight on 7/20, it was all delivered yesterday in perfect condition.
