Picked up a CPO '17 Wednesday when I traded my decked out but I was bored of it 2010 CrewMax Tundra. Holy polar opposite Batman!

I have already ordered a bunch of parts and am meeting a member to get a Nameless header later today.

More to come!

Thanks.

Thanks for a stress-free transaction @Louder, great meeting you.

First road trip, 67 miles each way mostly freeway netted me this:

Louder 06-06-2020 01:03 AM

@e30cabrio Great meeting you too. Congrats again on the 86!

e30cabrio 06-06-2020 12:44 PM

Thanks!

Fun drive home, had just enough power to keep a Raptor behind me. Do the '17s have more power stock? It's not the dog (when the revs are kept up) I have heard it would be.

5hp more. Negligible, but that paired with the shorter gearing helps a little bit with acceleration.

e30cabrio 06-06-2020 01:45 PM

Thanks!

Can you recommend a shop in the valley that knows these cars & won't take advantage?

I came from Tundras.com, there was an AZ marketplace thread I looked but didn't see one here.

Here's the Tundra I traded in for the 86.

EDIT.

I'm an idiot, found the regional area.

:P

Since June I have done a bunch.

The catback came last week, I ordered the over/frontpipe from Nameless and am waiting for the 6-8 week build.

I also got Whiteline endlinks & Blox front & rear sways.

that is a very large rat with it's head buried in the bush next to your car!

Copy 09-14-2020 02:05 PM

Where did you get that headunit?

e30cabrio 09-14-2020 08:47 PM

There is a large rock and plastic weed barrier that has needed to be fixed for far too long. No rats.

It took some doing but I found a seller in Malaysia that was willing to ship to the US. Apparently we have ripped most of the web sellers down under off.

You can find them on eBay, just search the model number. I have the 918ws and if it’s hot out it may have to cool off before turning on.

e30cabrio 09-15-2020 08:47 PM

I looked on ebay, couldn't fnd one.

That's where it came from.

Few parts came today.

scotto79 09-20-2020 05:28 PM

You need the black buttons too

e30cabrio 09-20-2020 05:52 PM

I like the contrast.

Installed the 2017 intake & bypassed the TB coolant nonsense.
The MAP sensor fastener is completely different on the black manifold. I found one in my collection of bolts that worked.

Rear suspension done, I was sent the wrong front endlinks so decided to wait for my Nameless over/front pipe so I only have to R&R the undertray once.

Rastarican718 10-05-2020 10:36 PM

Looking good dude.

Thefalls 10-06-2020 08:12 AM

Awaiting your reviews on the Konis.

Nice car and keep up the hard work.

Front looks lower than the rear?

e30cabrio 10-06-2020 01:03 PM

Thanks, the front is lower than I want, I'm not sure why it's so low.

I haven't driven much but it feels great, is not much harsher.

Back is settling down.

AndysLog 10-08-2020 12:22 PM

does that red intake do anything besides being red?
nice looking car!

e30cabrio 10-09-2020 09:50 AM

Butt dyno says it feels better. I sent logs to my tuner to see if it made a difference.

I am waiting for a Nameless over/front pipe that is being built and then I'll install the Nameless header, front/over and catback I have and will be mostly done.

Thanks

My 2017 came with the red intake. Was that not standard?
Looking good!

e30cabrio 10-12-2020 11:22 PM

Only manuals came with the red intake.

Thanks

How do you like those tires? They're cheap and I was looking at them since I often drive 100+ miles a day.

e30cabrio 10-15-2020 03:20 PM

I like them, they were under 600 including accidental damage and install. I was only able to get them online, no local tire place could get them.

Depending on how long they last I'll decide to get a name brand or another set once I get my 18" rims next year.

Autotragic. They didn't get the extra hp either.

NoHaveMSG 10-15-2020 05:26 PM

Done, waiting for the Wife to wake up to verify no leaks before I reinstall the undertrays & take it down.

guitarman 10-18-2020 02:40 PM

Nice mods....I especially like the Trunk Lip on this guy. Any idea where that one came from?

e30cabrio 10-18-2020 02:56 PM

Thanks.

I got it on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-FOR...72.m2749.l2649

From Taiwan, took about a month to get, they paint to order. The paint match is about 85% (not enough metallic) it's a little flimsy and did not come with tape which I guess is ok since I have had bad experience with cheap tape & know it has 3M this way.
