Thinking of selling my FRS Series 1

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post. So, admin, please feel free to remove or move this post to the right area. I have a 2015 FRS-Series with less than 5K and I am thinking of selling. Anyone here knows what it is worth? It is in as new condition :-) and best place to sell my car?

Mileage is low. Almost a red flag as cars don't like sitting. I'm sure many would disagree.

'15 is a good year. Yellow rare. I have no idea on value, but as is always the case you'll get more money privately than trading in or selling to an entity that needs to resell to make profit.

If it helps, I picked up mine in like new condition from a dealer, CPO, 2016, 6 speed for around $19,000 with less than 14,000 miles.

Good luck.

A quick search of SoCal shows one for sale at $15,888. Car Guru's analysis says that is $1,000 high for that car. You are probably good for about $16,000 with your low mileage though.
Any of the car sales websites will give you the most exposure but of course they cost something (no idea how much).

Always go with the Kelly Blue Book value.
That being said selling it private party always gets you the most value.
As to where to sell it for free:
Craigslist, on parked the side of a busy street with a for sale sign.

Then if you want to pay a few bucks to have it national broadcast any car sale websites.

Lastly if you just want to get rid of it quick any car dealership. Or use it as a trade in. But expect them to low ball you like a retard. You can fight them a bit and get a higher price, but it would no where come near the amount you can get if you sell it private party.

Well that's a shame you have decided to sell your fine looking car.

If it has a manual transmission, I'll broker it to @Tcoat for you. He likes flashy cars and his is about wore out.

Yep, Tcoat and mrs Tcoat could fly down to LA, buy your car, drive over to Vegas for a few days, where mrs Tcoat could win enough money to pay for most of it.

My broker fee will be reasonable. Paid upon delivery to mrs Tcoat, for her to "invest it" for me while they are in Las Vegas.

Oh, the price? That's negotiable - :D

You have any idea what it costs to bring a new(ish) car into Canada? By the time exchange and the gov'mnt is done with it I could probably but two brand new ones.

I am trying to talk her into exactly that trip some time though.

Impureclient 02-06-2020 09:17 PM

If I didn't have mine and was looking for one, it would be a RS1 and I would pay extra for that color and especially with that low of mileage on it. I don't feel 1k a year is not driving it enough to do damage either.
It really stands out on the road with that bright color, sell for what it's worth plus some extra because it's an attention grabber and somebody like me would pay more. If $17k is what blue book is, I'd probably pay a grand or more more easily.

I think the border has changed from what you remember in your youth.

Not THAT border crossing, the main one, where the Canadian guard is usually asleep and the US guard doesn't give a damn.

Oh for crying out loud! The 49th parallel is the border between the US and Canada between Minnesota and Washington. It is the longest unguarded border in the wold.

They say that, but try walking over it not at a designated crossing. You’ll be answering to some angry soldiers in helicopters pretty quick, and they aren’t fucking around. Ask me how I know.

Well that depends on which direction. Canada isn't going to use it's helicopter for that.

I KNOW THAT! - I ain't tupid!

But, what does the 100th meridian have to do with anything?

And, @p1l0t , what does Marylin Monroe have to do with it?

(I think I'll go back over to the Saturn forum - they make more sense over there - :iono:)

The 10th meridian crosses the 49th at about the point we were talking about.

Marilyn comes in with Pilot's reference to the Korean parallel.
